YOUR CONFESSIONS WILL MAKE OR BREAK YOU

4/23/2025

"For with the heart men believe and obtain righteousness, and with the mouth they make confession and obtain salvation" (Romans 10:10 Weymouth New Testament).

The words you say can either set you back in life or bring you to a place of fulfillment. Words, not people, situations, or money brings one to a fulfilled state. You create your own atmosphere which ultimately determines your destiny and you do so by your repeated confessions. Confessing that you are good for nothing will never produce a life that is worth emulating.  Jesus said in Matthew 12:36-37 MSG,  “…every one of these careless words is going to come back to haunt you. There will be a time of reckoning. Words are powerful; take them seriously. Words can be your salvation. Words can also be your damnation.” If Jesus says that your words, not people, determine your salvation or your damnation, then believe it! I understand that there are folks that think that their lives would have been better if it wasn't for this person or that situation. On face value, it may appear to be true.  But when you look at it through the Word, neither uncle Jimmy wrecking your car nor your poor credit score had the power to stop you in your tracks until you empowered them to do so.

Do you realize that you cannot live above your confessions? The beauty of your life and progress that you make in life is in your hands.  Nothing external can shape your destiny without your consent and you cannot live or walk in the fulfillment of God's divine plan for your life until you start talking right. Talking right means speaking words that are consistent with all that Jesus died for you to have. When you say that your life is good for nothing, you are only digging a hole that you may not come out of except by divine intervention.

Adam and his wife ate of the forbidden fruit in Genesis 3:6, and discovered that they were naked. The scripture tells us that the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” and he replied, “I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked” (Genesis 3:10). And God's response to Adam was, “who told you that you were naked?” In essence, God was saying, “Adam, you are not talking right because you didn’t hear that from Me. Who then have you been listening to?" This describes many of God's people today; they make wrong confessions, creating an even bigger problem than they already had.  You hear Christians confessing depression, lack, sickness, and bitterness, thinking that they are being humble and sincere or just stating the facts. What they do not realize is that the darkness (depression, sickness, lack etc) is their creation. As a Christian, you can't live above or beyond your confessions. You are the result of your confessions; whatever you are experiencing right now, is your creation. It may not sound empathetic, but it is the truth. The bitterness is nobody’s but your creation; the lack is also your creation. As long as you confess lack, you will not enjoy increase; it makes no difference how much you earn, or how much you have in your bank account, it will only be a matter of time, lack and poverty will eventually seize you as a possession. What you say is what you become, it's a law of the spirit.

In Hebrews 13:5-6 NAS, the scripture says, “Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, "I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you" so that we confidently say, "the Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?"  I want you to observe the underlined words; we are to confidently declare what He has said, not what we feel or assume. What has God said to you concerning this month? The way to see and walk in the fullness of His Word for you is by your confessions. Your daily confessions of what He has said puts you on the pedestal of uncommon favor and unending streams of increase in all directions. So, agree with God today and only say what He has said even it means disagreeing with those with whom you work and live. God does not fail; neither will His Word fail on your lips. So speak and don’t look back.

Faith-Filled Confessions:

I am never alone, for God has said, He will never leave me nor forsake me. So, I boldly declare, no matter what I may face, God is my helper. Nothing can harm me. All things work together for my good.

PRAYER POINT.

1. Prayer for those who are turning away from the Lord

Declare that they hold fast to their calling, living in and by the Word, irrespective of circumstances, that they may finish their course with joy, bringing glory to the Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

2.PRAYER FOR OUR FAMILIES

Isaiah 54:17 KJV

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

·  Declare that all our families are continually protected and shielded from the plans of wicked and unreasonable men and none of their steps shall slide.

·  Also Pray that no weapon form against them shall prosper, being it physical, spiritual or emotional, it is well with them, spirit, soul and body and everything that concerns them is perfected by the Holy Ghost.
