“He is the reflection of God's glory and the exact likeness of His being, and He holds everything together by His powerful Word. After providing purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.” — Hebrews 1:3
One of the greatest truths you must hold tightly is your identity in Christ. If you lose that consciousness, you lose everything. Victory or defeat in the Christian life hinges on this knowledge.
As a believer, you have received the very life and nature of God.
This is not a promise—it ispresent-day reality, a divine unveiling of the God-kind at work in you.
Jesus said in John 14:9,
“Whoever has seen Me has seen the Father.”
What was He revealing? Jesus was declaring:I am the icon of the Father, the exhibition of His essence, the full package of the heavenly in bodily form.Praise God!
When Jesus walked the earth, He was the radiance of God’s glory to humanity—the exact expression of the invisible God. Colossians 1:15 puts it beautifully: “He is the exact living image—the essential manifestation—of the unseen God.”
“Pastor E, what does all this have to do with me?” Everything.
Because to know Jesus is to know yourself. Whatever He is, you are. Whatever He has, you have. — 1 John 4:17
You cannot truly know who you are until you know who He is.
In John 17:22, Jesus prayed: “…that they may be one even as We are one.” Hallelujah!
He was declaring that we would become associates of the divine, partakers of God’s own nature. Peter affirms this in 2 Peter 1:4: “…that you may be partakers of the divine nature…”
Then look at 1 Corinthians 1:9: “God is faithful, who has invited you into partnership with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”
What an invitation!
The Greek word for “partnership” iskoinónia—a drinking together, a fellowship, a union, a mingling with the Anointed One and His anointing.
1 Corinthians 12:13 describes it asbeing immersed, sunk into, absorbed into Christ.
Your very body is infused and stuffed with divine varieties. Glory to God!
You are the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His essence.
A living icon of righteousness—a God-symbol to your world.
1 John 4:17 declares: “As He is, so are we in this world.”
Say it again and again until your very being vibrates with this consciousness:
As He is, so am I in this world.
Just as there are pop icons, sports icons, and cultural icons, God has made you an icon of the invisible— a God symbol, a divine representation of Christ in this world. Hallelujah!
Faith-Filled Confession
I am one with Christ. His life and nature are fully at work in me.
As He is, so am I in this world. I am the radiance of His glory, the exact representation of His essence, and a living God-symbol on the earth.
