YOU ARE NOT A PRODUCT OF MAN

Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;) Galatians 1:1

People may give you a title, but they did not give you your identity. People may recognize your gift, but they did not create your purpose. People may approve of you or reject you, celebrate you or criticize you, but their opinion does not determine who you are.

Galatians 1:10 asks, “For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men?”When you live for the approval of people, you will constantly adjust yourself to fit their expectations. But when you know who you are in God, you can remain secure even when people do not understand you.

Saint, you were not created by the opinions of people, and you were not called by the approval of people. Your worth did not begin when someone noticed you, and your worth does not decrease when someone overlooks you.

God gave you an identity before He gave you an assignment. As I mentioned in yesterday’s devotional. Before anyone called you a wife, husband, pastor, doctor, mayor, musician, banker, content creator, or social media influencer, God already knew you.Your identity existed before your position, title, career, or assignment.

So, stop allowing what you do to become who you are. Stop allowing people’s expectations to define you. Stop measuring your worth by your accomplishments, position, title, or the approval of others.

Your assignment is something you do; your identity is who you are.

You can change positions without changing identity. You can change careers without losing purpose. You can step into a new season without losing your sense of worth.

Know who you are beyond what you do. Your identity comes from God, not from your assignment or from people’s expectations. You are not a product of man. You are a product of God. Now see yourself that way.

God bless you.

FAITH-FILLED CONFESSION

I know who I am in Christ. I am not defined by people, positions, titles, achievements, or assignments. My identity comes from God. I refuse to live for the approval of people. I am God’s workmanship, chosen, loved, accepted, and created for His purpose. I know who I am, I know whose I am, and I will live from the identity God has given me. Hallelujah!
