YOU ARE GOD'S VEHICLE

04/29/2023

"But in a great house, there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honour and some for dishonour. Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honour, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work." (2 Timothy 2:21)

You are a vehicle of God and the distance you will cover with God is captured in today's theme scripture. Make no mistakes, God wants to use you to cover so much mileage in this world. 1 Chronicles 16:9 says that "...the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him...” The eyes of God refer to the seven dimensions of God's Spirit as enumerated in Isaiah 11:2 which says, "The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD."

But how will these seven dimensions of God be dispatched to the ends of the earth to help those that are loyal to God? They will be dispatched by vehicles that have made themselves fit for the Master. Hear me, you may do many functions in the Kingdom, usher, play the piano, preach and these are all beautiful but the role of an intercessor is the role that makes you available to God to effect massive change within and outside your vicinity. The intercessor is one who takes on prayer burdens for people, places and situations for which he or she has no direct bearing or benefit. This person asks the Lord what He wants to be prayed about and then goes to work.

However, one of the most important secrets of intercessors is an understanding of their heart posture. The intercessor knows that harbouring iniquity in the heart is the most counterproductive thing. King David espoused a principle that every effective intercessor understands from Psalm 66:18 which says, "If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear."

When you understand the gravity of the audience of the KING, and how much can be accomplished in His audience, you will let go of every unforgiveness. When you know that the war in Ukraine could spread to Lithuania and cause so many more deaths of women and children, you will let go of a trivial hurt and pray. When you know that responding to an insult will stop you from preventing a divorce of a descendant, you will never meet three generations from now, you will forgive the insult in advance. The Bible says, "Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honour, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work." (2 Timothy 2:21)

There is too much at stake not to be a vehicle of God; an honourable vessel that God can mount to avenge the enemy and put him to flight in the lives of multiplied nations. This is why your heart's perfect state must be maintained at all times. Now, spend time praying for someone other than yourself even as you practice letting go if in your case, you had someone in your heart that you have locked up there. Let the hurt God go and let God fly you on eagle's wings now.

Have a beautiful day!

Faith-Filled Confession

I am God's vehicle to bring reprieve to the world around me. Therefore, I am mindful to maintain the posture of my heart so that I might be used of God at any time the Master needs me. Glory to God
