"You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you" (John 15:16).
As Christians, we have been ordained with power and appointed for extraordinary demonstrations of the miraculous. If you are curious as to what extraordinary miracles entail, Jesus provides some insight in John 14:12 when He states, "I assure you and most solemnly say to you, anyone who believes in Me [as Savior] will also do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these [in extent and outreach], because I am going to the Father."
In simpler terms, even if you multiplied all the miraculous deeds of Jesus a million times over, you'd still only scratch the surface. Think of the possibility of walking into a hospital and discharging everyone by the power of the Holy Ghost. Think of those precious little ones in children's hospitals battling cancer and various deformities. Imagine the joy that will overwhelm their parents to know their little one is whole. I ask you to think of these possibilities because they are attainable. After all, Jesus said so.
In Luke 5:17, the Bible says, "Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them." Guess what? That very power is currently at work within you (Read Mark 16:17-18; Matthew 10:1).
Recall the words of Jesus, "You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you" (John 15:16). Through this scripture, the Lord is making it abundantly clear that you have been ordained with divine authority and designated for the miraculous manifestation of God's power. By reason of your divine calling, your prayers have a God-guaranteed right to be answered. The idea of God not responding or you not receiving is foreign to this reality.
With this understanding, look at the world around you and see that you conquer it with love, bringing everyone in darkness to the light and glory of God's grace.
Remember, saints, you were ordained for this. So do not struggle; just BE who God has called you. Let Him use you for His glory!
Hallelujah!
Faith Filled Confession:
I am divinely empowered for extraordinary displays of miracles by the Holy Spirit, and nothing shall be impossible to me! I bear fruits, and my fruits remain. God has made me an influence and a conduit of His blessings to my world. He is alive in me today, pulling the world to the saving grace of my Lord, Jesus. My mind, heart, and body belong to Jesus. Therefore, I speak and act in His name today. In Jesus' name. Amen
