YOU ARE CHOSEN AND ANOINTED

“God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before Him” (1 Corinthians 1:28-29).
I remember being in a church gathering several years ago when I began to hear someone pray, “Oh God, anoint us, send us, release Your power; we want to see Your glory.” And before I knew what was happening, everyone was crying, “Oh God, release Your power; we want to see Your glory.” It was a very emotional meeting. I know you want to know--so, did God release His power and glory? The answer is NO! He didn’t. Why? Because He already did. He has no more glory or power to send down from Heaven; He already gave us all that He has. Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” God knew that the world would need to see His power and glory and so, He sent the Holy Ghost to live on the inside of you. So if the world around you is not experiencing the power and the glory of God, it’s because you are not doing what you were anointed to do. God has done His part, it is now your turn to do your part. And that part is to arise to your call.
Isaiah 60:1 says, "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.” So arise when you feel like it and when you don’t feel like it. Arise because the power and the glory of God are in you and upon you.
John 15:16 says, “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit--fruit that will last--and so that whatever you ask in My name the Father will give you.” In other words, you are God’s choice. Stop asking Him to anoint you or send you. And If He chose you, it is because He needs you. I believe that God needs you more than ever before, to rise up to His grace and to the anointing that He has placed upon your life. He needs you to light up your family with love and grace. He needs you to speak up in His name. He needs you to lay hands on the sick and to cast out devils. He has divinely placed you in a world that needs what you carry. So, it is time to stand out from the crowd and be who God has called you to be.
Be bold. You are blessed.
Faith-filled Confession:
Today, I acknowledge the person of the Holy Spirit and His power that dwells within me and the authority that I have in the name of Jesus. And so, I will not hold back when the need arises. I will respond to the needs around me in the fullness of the power that is within me. In Jesus name. Amen.
