"Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth" (Jeremiah 1:8-9).
As we prepare for Testimony Service tomorrow, it behooves me to share with you one of Satan's tactics: WITNESS TAMPERING. And what God expects us to do when that happens. Witness tampering is any form of intimidation, threat, or corrupt persuasion of another person to influence, delay, or prevent their testimony. Satan likes to tamper with Christ's witnesses because, through our testimonies, his defeat is a reality. Revelation 12:11 says, "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death." One subtle way the devil does this to the believer is by instilling the fear of people's faces or by suggesting that sharing their testimony will make them candidates for Satan's wrath. But the devil is a LAIR!
However, the Bible tells us how to deal with this tactic of the devil. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 says, "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ..."
The fear that you might anger the devil, be shunned or jeered at for sharing your testimony, or offend the person you are trying to reach for Christ is the enemy's last weapon to tamper with you, after which he has nothing else. Your job is to cast down these thoughts of fear by speaking in tongues and confessing God's Word. As you speak in other tongues, declare that you are Christ's witness and that you are testifying by the power of the Holy Ghost. Then, go ahead and share your testimony.
Saint, you must recognize that it is the enemy's work to try to dissuade or even kill witnesses of Jesus Christ so that they do not testify before others. However, it is your responsibility to maintain a solid front in spite of his schemes. Testifying before others about what the Lord has done in your life is an advanced form of spiritual warfare. And since the enemy is not casual about stopping you from testifying through seeds of doubt and fear, you should not be casual in resisting him. Wake up in the morning with every plan to run him out of town by telling someone about God's goodness in your life.
As you share testimonies of what God has done for you, you will be setting off another round of testimonies in those who hear you. In Jesus' name. Amen
Hallelujah!
Faith-Filled Confession:
God enables me to testify of His goodness, and no machination of the enemy to stop me is effective against me in this season. I am a testifier, and by my testimonies, tsunamis of testimonies are activated in the lives of my hearers. Hallelujah!
Prayer Point for Ministers of the Gospel
Pray for ministers who are facing severe persecution. Pray that they will be strengthened to stand firm in all the will of God. Pray also for the deliverance of those imprisoned for their faith in Christ Jesus.
