WHY WE ARE SO DIFFERENT: THE AMBASSADORSHIP

"Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God" (2 Corinthians 5:20).
The believer in Christ is different because he or she is an appointed ambassador of the Kingdom of God. The role of an ambassador is to represent his or her Sovereign in a foreign country such that he or she is the direct go-between. 1 Timothy 2:5 says, "For there is one God, and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus," The "Man Christ Jesus" in this scripture doesn't just refer to the Lord Jesus; it refers to our class of beings. We are the go-between God and humanity, and the gravity of our position must never be trivialized. It is an office that must be magnified.
This office of an ambassador is credentialed to the extent that if you meet with him or her, you might have as well, met with the King, President, or Prime Minister of the country the ambassador represents. This is why we must grasp the office we occupy and advance only the image of our King. Hear me, if Jesus cannot be discerned from your life every day, you are not doing your job right.
We can't side in with the rest of the world, be mute, polite, politically correct and expect to fulfill our ambassadorship accurately. We are different. And this is why, sometimes, we will collide with forces, spiritual, intellectual, and physical. The job that we have entails entreating, teaching, debating, and producing proof that our King is the Sovereign of the Universe who desires everyone to be saved and know the truth.
The rest of the world may try to chug Christianity down to a religion of spires, crosses, and pews, but to us, we are on a foreign diplomatic mission with a job to coopt as many new citizens as possible and warn about an invasion that will take place when our King returns with an army that will take no prisoners.
Our ambassadorship differentiates us from the rest of the world, so go about your ambassadorial duties.
Have a blessed day
Faith-Filled Confession
I am an ambassador of God in Christ Jesus. I reconcile people to God through the diplomacy of the gospel. I am unequivocal and uncompromising about the message of my King such that I share the message without fear or favour and with great dispatch. In Jesus' name. Amen.
