WHO IS JESUS?

03/16/2024

"For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist." (Colossians 1:16-17)

The understanding of who Jesus is has been so watered down in popular culture for a reason. The enemy’s strategy has been to  miniaturize and cast aspersions on the name of Jesus such that faith in the Name of Jesus would be non-existent. To a large extent, he has  been successful in influencing some believers to use the name as a form of exclamation. He has also been successful in moving others, of lesser persuasion about the deity of Jesus Christ, to use the Name in less dignified terms, even as a curse word.

However, Jesus is not at any disadvantage for the blasphemous or improper use of His Name, the world is. You see, the Name of Jesus was given so that anyone who calls on the Name would receive salvation. Acts 4:12 NIV says, "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

The value of a name is in what the name can give or do for you. For example, when you hear the name, Mercedes Benz or McDonald’s, these names represent certain qualities, characteristics or values. According to the Bible,  the value of the Name of Jesus is salvation and what salvation means is multi-contextual. Again, the enemy has worked tirelessly to obscure the definition of salvation. Salvation, for the purpose of defining it, is every conceivable provision, supply, favor, healing or deliverance made accessible in Christ for people to manifest their God-given destiny on earth.

Many have misunderstood salvation  to mean going to heaven, which by itself is important. But salvation is more than going to heaven. One time, God asked the children of Israel to go and ask their captors to empty their vaults and give them all their valuables (according to Exodus 12:36). Question: What made their Egyptian captors comply with the demands of erstwhile slaves? The answer is salvation.

Another time, a woman whose husband had died, leaving her with a huge debt was instructed by the prophet to borrow many vessels and keep pouring oil out of a bottle until all the vessels were full (See 2 Kings 4:1-7). Who produced this  salvation? The same God that today bears the Name of Jesus.

Hear me, everything that exists both visible and invisible exists by and because of Jesus. John 1:3 says, "All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made." As long as you call on Him with understanding, He will materialize even that which was previously inconceivable to manifest His salvation.

This is why your acknowledgment of the Name of Jesus Christ must be with reverence. Everything that exists finds its essence or non-essence in the Name of Jesus. The Lord says, "Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full" (John 16:24). The word, "Ask" in this verse is synonymous with "Demand."

Jesus wants to materialize the things He has put in your spirit that seem outlandish and out-of-reach. Receive a fresh revelation of the Name of Jesus today and demand.

God bless you

Faith-Filled Confession

I am separated unto God by the Name of Jesus. And for this reason I belong to a class of beings to whom nothing is impossible. All things are mine because the One by whom all things consist is pleased to live inside me. I call those things that are not as though they are. And, in the Name of Jesus, that which I call forth always materializes. Hallelujah !
