"But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord." (2 Corinthians 3:18)
The Word of God is God's mirror held up to the believer. And the image that you see in the mirror is the real you, no matter what your glass mirror may say. Like most people, I don't question what I see in the mirror, regardless of what I may think. If there is a reflection, then it's got to be me. Praise God!
Psalm 1:1-3 says, "Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the LORD, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do." This is your permanent reflection when you are a doer, gazer, and practitioner of the Word; you will see unstoppable success in and out of season. Irrespective of your outward circumstances, you will prosper in everything. Say with me, "I prosper in everything in Jesus' name."
Today's theme scripture unveils a potency of continuing to look because when we continue to look at God's Word, we are transformed into the very image that we see. In doing this, we go beyond just being successful to having good success. Joshua penned it this way: "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success" (Joshua 1:8). This is when we become gods in the eyes of men and are able to overpower devils and circumstances that have plagued men from time immemorial.
Know this child of God; you are not of this world! And this is why I am saying to you today, never go a day without studying your Bible and listening to teachings from God's Word. Romans 12:2 says, "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." This renewal and transformation will not happen when you casually study the Word or look into the mirror. So, look intently! This is what produces the real change to your image. James 1:23-24 says, "For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was." When we give full attention to the mirror of God (His Word), divine transformation takes place. And when we look intently into God's Word, we are equipped to display the perfection of the divine life to our world. Praise God!
You are blessed.
Faith-Filled Confession
I behold the image of God in the Word each time I look into it. And as I look, I am changed into the image that I see. In Jesus' name. Amen
