WHAT TO SAY BEFORE HIS PRESENCE

12/28/2022

“He who practices deceit shall not dwell within my house; He who speaks falsehood shall not maintain his position before me” (Psalm 101:7).

In 1 Corinthians 1:29, the bible says “That no flesh should glory in His presence.” In other words, anything that does not represent all that grace has made available to us in Christ Jesus will not find expression when the presence of God is made manifest. Think of it this way; sickness doesn’t represent the grace of God in Christ and so when a sick person comes under the influence of the presence of God, that sickness dies automatically. Same thing goes for financial bondage or mental bondage. When the presence of God is manifested, all sickness, disease, and bondage are eradicated by the power of His presence. We see this in Luke 5:17; the scripture says, “One day, as Jesus was teaching, some Pharisees and teachers of the Law happened to be sitting nearby. The people had come from every village in Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem. The power of the Lord was present to heal them.” Consequently, every sick person who made a faith connection to the power which was present that day got healed; there was a physical manifestation of that power in their bodies. I have often said this: if you are sick and afflicted, don’t cry! Just stir up the power of God in you until it takes over your whole body and that sickness disappears. Because the presence of God represents His judgment on the earth, it will bring blessings to the upright and a curse on the wicked. The only things that remain when the presence of God is manifested are those things which glorify the name of Jesus Christ. Anything that does not conform to the finished work of Jesus Christ is a lie. Sickness can be a fact outside of the presence of God, but when the glory of His presence is made manifest, that sickness becomes a lie. And no lie can maintain its position in the presence of God.

So when you are in fellowship with God, it’s important that you speak the truth. Because the more of the truth that you speak, the greater the unction of the Spirit on you. Have you ever found yourself under a strong unction of the Spirit, only for it to suddenly dissipate?  Then you realized that it was because of a thought that you entertained while in fellowship with Him. It doesn’t always have to be a “sinful” thought as we often define sin. Sometimes it could be a fact; one that contradicts the Word of God. And according to the Bible, anything that contradicts the revealed Word of God in Christ Jesus is a lie.  Do you realize that it is unholy and a lie for a child of God to say, “I am unworthy?”  Also, if Jesus has said that He has made you whole, then, that is the truth! Your feelings may disagree, but don’t speak your feelings. Speaking anything that contradicts what Jesus has already said and done is speaking forth lies. And if you continue to bring up facts that contradict the Word of God, you will fall short of experiencing His manifest presence.  You could spend the whole day praying, but if the words of your mouth and the mediation of your heart contradict the revealed Word of God in Christ Jesus, it would have all been futile. Real communion with the Spirit is done in spirit and in truth. It must be based on the revelation of the person of Jesus.

For this reason, the Word must be forefront as you commune with the Lord. This is what David alluded to when he said, “He who practices deceit shall not dwell within my house; He who speaks falsehood shall not maintain his position before me” (Psalm 101:7). I love what the prophet Hosea said in Hosea chapter fourteen, verse two. He said, “Take words with you and return to the Lord.” In other words, bring truth with you when you fellowship with Him; don’t just speak anything that comes into your head. You are before the King of kings, chose your words wisely. Make sure that they are His words. That way, you can experience His glory as you tarry in His presence.

God bless you!

Faith Filled Confession:

The Word of God is my reality. No matter the situation or circumstance, I’ll speak forth the Word of God. And as I speak, my experience lines up with my reality which is God’s Word. And so, I declare that I am blessed, favored, wise, strong, and in health. No weapon formed or fashioned against me or my household prospers. In Jesus name, Amen.
