WHAT THE ENEMY MEANT FOR EVIL

"But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive." — Genesis 50:20

Child of God, never forget this truth:the enemy does not have the final say over your life—God does.Disappointment, sickness, betrayal, setbacks, failure, divorce, or even the loss of a loved one do not have the authority to redefine your destiny. You are the product of God's Word, and His Word is the final authority over your life.

Joseph understood this truth. He was betrayed by his own brothers, sold into slavery, falsely accused, forgotten in prison, and stripped of everything that appeared to confirm God's promise. Yet through every painful season, God never abandoned him. While Joseph was being tested, God was orchestrating his future.

When Joseph finally stood before the very brothers who had betrayed him, he did not rehearse his pain or seek revenge. Instead, he made one of the most powerful declarations in Scripture:

"You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good."

Notice that Joseph did not pretend the evil never happened. He acknowledged it. But he refused to give it the final word. He understood that God's purpose is always greater than the enemy's plan.

The same is true for you.

Perhaps you've experienced rejection, disappointment, betrayal, loss, delays, or unexpected setbacks. Maybe you've received a discouraging medical report or are facing circumstances that seem impossible. Those facts may be real, but they are not your final reality. God's Word is your reality, and His promises are greater than your present circumstances.

Our God specializes in turning setbacks into setups, tests into testimonies, and trials into triumphs.

Hear the Word of the Lord today: what the enemy intended to use to stop you, God is using to strengthen you. What was meant to break your spirit is becoming the foundation of your testimony. What looked like a closed door is becoming the entrance to God's greater purpose for your life.

The cross is the greatest proof of this truth. Satan thought he had won when Jesus was crucified. But what appeared to be defeat became the greatest victory in history. Death gave way to resurrection, and the enemy's greatest attack became God's greatest triumph.

So I encourage you today: don't allow today's pain to blind you to tomorrow's purpose. God's plan for your life is far greater than anything you have endured. Even if you are facing the greatest trial of your life, remember this: God is still working behind the scenes. He is weaving every detail together for your good and for His glory.

Trust Him. Stand on His Word. Keep moving forward.

And refuse to accommodate offense, bitterness, or unforgiveness in your heart. Those are distractions designed to keep you from embracing God's greater purpose.

The God who turned Joseph's prison into a palace is the same God who is working in your life today.

What the enemy meant for evil, God is turning around for your good.

Faith-Filled Confession

I declare that God's purpose for my life will prevail. Every attack of the enemy is being transformed into a testimony of God's faithfulness. I refuse fear, bitterness, discouragement, and offense. I stand firmly upon God's unchanging Word, knowing that He is working all things together for my good. My setbacks are becoming divine setups, my trials are producing God's glory, and my future is brighter than my past. I will fulfill God's purpose for my life, and His promises concerning me shall surely come to pass. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
