WHAT ARE YOU STILL WAITING FOR

8/6/2026

“Simon answered, ‘Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because You say so, I will let down the nets.’” (Luke 5:5)

Throughout scripture, God often gives instructions that defy human logic. He told Noah to build an ark for a flood no one had ever seen (Hebrews 11:7). Naaman was told to dip seven times in a muddy river to be healed of leprosy—an instruction that seemed beneath him (2 Kings 5:10-14). Yet in both cases, obedience brought the miracle.

In Luke 5, Simon Peter—an experienced fisherman—had toiled all night with no results. He had exhausted every technique and was ready to pack it in. But when Jesus told him to try again, Simon responded, “Because You said so.” That obedience unlocked an overflow of blessing so great that his boat couldn’t contain it.

Simon’s turning point came not from strategy, but from surrender. He listened to Jesus’ teaching and faith rose in his heart. That faith moved him to act—not because the instruction made sense, but because it came from Jesus.

There are times when God’s word will not align with your experience, education, or expertise. Like Simon, you may feel tired, frustrated, or ready to quit. But don’t let past failures dictate your next steps. If God has spoken—obey. Respond with faith: “Because You said so.”

Your miracle is tied to obedience. Whether it’s launching that project, forgiving someone, sowing a seed, or taking a bold step—do it not because it makes sense, but because God said so.

There is an anointing upon you to move forward. Reach again. Stretch wide. Launch out—because He said so!

Faith-Filled Confession:

Today, I exalt the Word of God above every situation in my life. I choose faith over fear, obedience over reasoning. I declare that I am moving forward, making progress, and walking in divine instruction. My life is aligned with the will of God. In Jesus' name, Amen!
