WATCHMAN SERIES: CORPORATE PRAYER

06/29/2024

"Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven" (Matthew 18:19).

Let there be no confusion. The work of a watchman often entails corporate prayer. Spiritual engagement is never the work of a lone ranger. It takes a prayer band to seize influence and dominate territory in the spirit realm. The Bible says, "Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall by the sword before you" (Leviticus 26:8).

Somehow, the folks in the kingdom of darkness understand this reality so well that they operate through covens. It is often appalling that many children of God want to pray through certain things alone. Hear me, there is more bandwidth in the spirit to push things through when believers come together to pray about certain matters. They create an umbrella of grace that acts as a shield, even when some of the members of their company are not present to attend the prayer meeting.

Matthew 18:19 is very instructive for local assemblies and Christians banded together by family ties, friendship, and the marketplace. There should be prayer about the things that bring you together and any other agendas that are commonly held. For example, if you are a single man and you're friends with another single man, agreeing together in prayer for the right choice of future spouses should be part of the reason for that friendship. In more practical terms, when we call meetings during our half-year prayer and fasting program, your participation should not be optional. Let it be a time to prosecute the Lord's pronouncements concerning us, our families, and ministries on an individual and corporate basis.

Understand that what would take you years to prosecute in the spirit will take all of us, as a corporate body, much shorter time to accomplish. So plan not to miss any of our prayer calls and services as we press in the spirit together.

In the latter half of this year, for things that God has said or will say concerning His plans, pursuits, and purposes for you, your family, city, and our church, have someone to agree with in prayer as often as possible. Be intentional about incorporating corporate prayer into your relationships and see the speed at which feats will be accomplished.

If you want to move with speed, embrace praying corporately with like-minded believers. To do otherwise is to get ready to give excuses at the end of the year. And this will not be your portion in Jesus' name.

Have a fantastic day!

Faith-Filled Confession

I have the wisdom of God in me to embrace corporate prayer. I am of one mind with my brethren, enacting the will of God through prayer and the divine strategies that come to us, individually and corporately, so that I am a wonder to many. In Jesus' name. Amen.
