WALK AT GOD'S PACE

7/10/2026

"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way." — Psalm 37:23

One of the greatest temptations in today's world is the pressure to move faster than God. But show me one person in Scripture who ran ahead of God's timing and finished successfully—you won't find one. Abraham tried to fulfill God's promise through Hagar and created years of conflict. King Saul refused to wait for Samuel and lost his kingdom. The prodigal son rushed toward independence only to end up in a pigpen. Going ahead of God has never produced God's best.  Yet this same pressure confronts us every day. We see others getting married, buying homes, receiving promotions, launching businesses, or fulfilling lifelong dreams, and before long we begin questioning God's timing for our own lives.vBut God never called you to walk at someone else's pace. He called you to walk with Him.

Throughout Scripture, those who experienced God's greatest blessings were those who learned to trust His timing. Abraham waited for the promised son. Joseph endured years of preparation before stepping into the palace. David was anointed king long before he ever wore the crown. None of them arrived early, and none of them arrived late. They arrived exactly when God's purpose had prepared them.

The enemy wants you to believe that if it hasn't happened yet, it never will. God says, "Keep walking with Me.” What God is doing in your life cannot be measured against someone else's timeline because your assignment is different.

Walking at God's pace requires faith. It means trusting Him when you cannot trace Him. It means believing that while you are waiting, He is working. Every closed door, every delay, and every hidden season is accomplishing something eternal in you.

Remember, God's delays are never His denials. Often, they are His preparation.

Today, choose to rest in His timing. Refuse to force what God has not opened, and refuse to abandon what He has called you to pursue. Walk in obedience, remain faithful, and let His peace guard your heart.

When God's appointed time arrives, no amount of opposition can stop what He has prepared for you. The One who orders your steps also determines your destination.

Walk patiently. Walk at God's pace.

Faith-Filled Confession

My steps are ordered by the Lord. I refuse to be driven by fear, comparison, or the pressure to keep up with others. I trust God's timing because His plans for me are good. Every season of my life is working together for His purpose. I walk in peace, wisdom, and obedience, knowing that what God has prepared for me will come to pass at the appointed time. I will not miss my destiny because I walk at God's pace. In Jesus' name, Amen.
