VICTORY IS YOUR DEFAULT STATE

4/15/2025

“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18).

It matters what you see; more importantly, it matters how you see what you see. Moses sent twelve spies to Canaan, and on their return, ten gave one version of what they saw, while the other two gave a different version. The two different accounts given by the spies were based on their understanding of what God had said to them. When you carefully study the account of the ten spies, you will find out that what they said was factually true. However, their conclusion did not give credence to the authority of the Word. And God called it an evil report. They said, “The land we traveled through and explored will devour anyone who goes to live there. All the people we saw were huge. We even saw giants there, the descendants of Anak. Next to them we felt like grasshoppers, and that’s what they thought, too!” (Numbers 13:32-33). They came to this conclusion because they lacked a revelation of who God is.

The other two saw what the ten saw, but their conclusion was different because they took into account what the Spirit of God had already spoken. And so, what they saw was of no consequence. Giants or no giants, the land was theirs to take because the Lord had said so. Hallelujah! For Joshua and Caleb, the Word of God was the evidence that they already had the victory. They said, “If the Lord delight in us, then He will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey. Only rebel not ye against the Lord, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defense is departed from them, and the Lord is with us: fear them not” (Numbers 14:8-9).

If you will win with God every day, you must see everything through the lens of God’s Word. What you hear and see should be of no consequence to you, even if they contradict the Word. You must look away from everything else and allow the Word to gain mastery over your thoughts and words. I have often said, “When God gives you His Word, it doesn't matter what comes afterward. It should be of no consequence to you.” If God has said, “My child, you will not die but live and fulfill every Word that I have spoken of you,” it does not matter if afterward, the doctors come with a contrary report saying that you will not live. That Word from God will prevail! But you must see yourself through the lens of the spoken Word of God.

2 Corinthians 4:18 says, “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” In other words, we see beyond what our physical eyes can see. The ten spies saw impossibilities and confessed that they were doomed to fail. But Joshua and Caleb looked not at what others saw, but at what God had said, and as a result, they confessed victory. Praise God!

So precious saints, look away from everything that contradicts God’s will for your life and zero your spirit and your mouth on the Word. You have been called unto a lifestyle of winning. And only by the Word is winning possible every day.

God Bless You!

Faith-Filled Confession:

I have chosen to see my life through the lens of God’s Word. I am not moved by what I observe with my physical senses; I am moved only by God’s Word. I have been called to a life of winning. Therefore, I win every day. I confess that I am a victor; I am strong and healthy; wise and intelligent; rich and favored. I fulfill God’s call on my life without reproach. In Jesus' name, Amen.
