"The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple. I opened my mouth and panted, For I longed for Your commandments." (Psalm 119:130-131)
The entrance of God's Word grants light into all the affairs of this life The word of God is so powerful that it can show you God's desired future for you, your family, business, country and the world. In times like these when gross darkness covers the earth, God's word should be the most valuable aspect of your life. And I do not mean this in terms of what the Word is in your life because, in actuality, it is the most important aspect of your life whether you agree or not. But I mean, in terms of your attitude. Your attitude to the word of God should reflect its importance to you.
In today's theme scripture, the Psalmist says in verse 131: "I opened my mouth and panted, For I longed for Your commandments." In another place, he says, "O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water (Psalm 63:1). The import of this is that you have got to embrace the Word of God because it is your life. It is the guarantee of the safety and sanctity of your children (see Isaiah 54:13). It is the guarantee that you were healed of every and any sickness 2000 years ago (see 1 Peter 2:24). It is also the certainty that any business you engage in will succeed (see Psalm 1:3).
With this knowledge, how then can a Christian relegate the Word of God in these times? What the enemy wants is for you to lose value for God's Word and not give it attention so he can steal it out of your heart and mouth. The enemy is strategic, he knows that if he can take the Word of God out of your heart and mouth, he can take everything that God designated for your to have.
Therefore Saints, for the sake of destiny, I beseech that you would let the message of Deuteronomy 6: 6-7 soak into your spirits. It says, "And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up." In other words, do not stop speaking the Word of God. Play Christian messages day in and day out, study your Bible and refuse to let the enemy knock your devotion to the Word of God out of you. Keep the Word in your heart and mouth!
You are blessed!
Faith-filled Confession
