THE WORD OF GOD, ABOVE ALL ELSE

"Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls—Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation” (Habakkuk 3:17-18).
Circumstances play no significance in the life of the God-kind, only what God has said or is saying. This is why we can rejoice in the midst of negative and rebellious issues. Your default setting is the Word of God, not your age, the money in your bank account, or your vocation.
So many rob themselves blind because they allow their behaviors to be modified by circumstances. And it is not a mistake that is uncommon. One time, God said to Abraham, “I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son.” The Bible adds that “Sarah was listening in the tent door which was behind him” (Genesis 18:10).
To add circumstantial context, Genesis 18:11-12 says, “Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age; and Sarah had passed the age of childbearing. Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, “After I have grown old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?”
In other words, going by her reaction, the voice of her natural circumstances—her being past the natural limits of childbirth—had more influence on her than God in a physically manifested form.
Many people are like this. Today, I am asking you to return to your notes and the plans that God gave you at the beginning of the year. I am asking you to return to the promptings, ideas, and instructions that God spoke into your heart during the 21-day fast; promises He had given.
For some, who have nothing to return to because when the Lord spoke, they did not care to write down, this whole month of prophecy was designed to show you not to despise prophecy. To the people of the world, circumstances may matter more than God’s word but to you, it must be the other way around.
We live by a different set of rules. We live by “thus says the Lord.” So if you have no “thus says the Lord,” that you can refer to; that ought to guide you on your decision making, you have not lived like the God-kind, particularly in this season when God expects you to.
If this is you, it is time to repent and pay serious attention to the voice of God. Take notes when God speaks to you and set them before your eyes.
Have a beautiful day!
Faith-Filled Confession
God's words to me are more precious and valuable than any other voice. The voice of circumstances, natural limitations, and head knowledge hold no sway in how I live my life. I live the God-life, full, unmitigated, and overflowing because the Greater One lives in me. Hallelujah!
