"For people swear by something greater than themselves, and the oath serves as a confirmation to end all dispute. In the same way God wanted to demonstrate more clearly to the heirs of the promise that his purpose was unchangeable, and so he intervened with an oath, so that we who have found refuge in him may find strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us through two unchangeable things, since it is impossible for God to lie" (Hebrews 6:16-18 NET).
The Word of God stands as the ultimate authority on all matters of life. While human knowledge has its limits, God's knowledge knows no bounds. As the creator of the heavens and the earth, His wisdom surpasses all. Colossians 2:3 affirms that "In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge," signifying that every iota of wisdom and knowledge resides within Him. We're talking about the Almighty here, the one who crafted everything.
Just as any reputable manufacturer provides a warranty for their products, our heavenly Father has a warranty for His creation. His Word serves as that warranty, and when we present His Word on any matter, He is bound to honor it. Luke 1:37 assures us that "For no word from God will ever fail," and Psalm 12:6 adds that "The words of Jehovah are pure words; As silver tried in a furnace on the earth, Purified seven times." In essence, this warranty is eternal, without an expiration date. Glory be to God!
The Word of God stands as a guarantee for success, but He did not stop there. Hebrews 6:18 reassures us, "So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie." Why both? Verse 17 provides clarity: "Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath."
In simpler terms, God is affirming to each of us, "My beloved, failure is not in your vocabulary! I've not only given you my Word but sealed it with an oath." Today, hear His voice proclaiming to you, "YOU ARE MY SUCCESS STORY!" Let that truth ignite your spirit to shout with joy and spin in celebration! Hallelujah! Glory be to His name!
1 John 5:9 in the NIV states, “We accept human testimony, but God's testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son.” Allow me to clarify this for you. The testimony the Father has given about His Son to us has been affirmed with an oath. In verse 11 of the same chapter, He reveals what this testimony is: “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.” Eternal life encompasses Christ and His completed works active within you. Glory be to God!
Here's a crucial point: Whatever Jesus accomplished, our heavenly Father affirms it. This means Papa God won't say anything that contradicts what Jesus has already done. Take, for instance, 1 Peter 2:24, which declares, "by his wounds you have been healed." Papa God's testimony concerning you would be, "My beloved, you are already healed; rise up and walk." That's why God neither sees nor declares any of His children as sick. Just look at you! Every aspect of your being radiates perfection.
What I'm sharing with you today is this: Make the Word final in your life. Embrace the truth, meditate on it, speak it, and let it govern your actions. Praise God!
Faith-Filled Confession:
I confess today that the Word of God is my final authority. Just as God's oath confirms His unchangeable purpose, I hold fast to the hope set before me, knowing that it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, I find refuge in Him, finding strong encouragement to speak His truth and walk in His promises. Glory be to God for His unshakable Word!
