THE VOICE OF THE GOSPEL

03/19/2023

"That God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting people's sins against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation" (2 Corinthians 5:19).

God has entrusted to us the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Only by this gospel do men get saved, and the Holy Ghost has equipped us to make it happen. Peter narrating Cornelius' encounter with Jesus, said, "He told us how he had seen an angel standing in his house and saying, 'Send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter. He will convey to you a message by which you and all your household will be saved" (Acts 11:13-14). One would have thought that if there was anyone equipped to preach the message of Christ, it would have been the angels. But God had a different plan, and that plan was to anoint you with the Holy Spirit to do the job. That anointing is on you right now, and it functions best when you don't feel it. Praise God! 2 Timothy 4:2 says, "Preach the Word; be instant in season, out of season…" In other words, preach the gospel when you feel like it and when you don't feel like it.

Preaching the gospel is one reason you are still alive right now.  You are a reconciler--a partner with the Spirit of God in winning everyone in your sphere of influence. And you do it, not only because it's your purpose for being, but because the love of Christ persuades you. Hallelujah! One time, a young man was asked why he was not active in preaching the gospel, and he said, "I will do it when I feel the anointing come on me." But this is wrong! Never say, "I'll share the gospel if the anointing comes on me." We do not need to feel the anointing to tell someone about Jesus; if you are saved, you have the anointing in the person of the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:8 says, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." You also do not have to pray to be sent because God sent you the day you got saved. In other words, God has already anointed and sent you to preach the gospel.  So the next time you find yourself among those that are not saved, open your mouth and let God flow through you.

Saint, God has entrusted the preaching of the gospel to you; do not pass it on to someone else. I believe when you meet Jesus, His first question will be: "What did you do with the gospel?" In other words, how many were you able to reach with the gospel that was committed to your trust? If God has committed the Word and ministry of reconciliation to you, then you can expect Him to request an account of what you did with it. Saint, this is God's top priority, and I want to encourage you to make it yours as well. Do everything possible to be active and effective in winning others to the Lord. Use every available tool at your disposal to tell others about Jesus. You are a reconciler--a conduit of God's message to the people of the earth. So look at yourself in the mirror and say, "I can do this; I am anointed for soul-winning." Heaven is counting on you to do your part while you are here on earth.

God bless you.

Faith-Filled Confession:

The Holy Spirit, who lives in me, has equipped me to be an effective soul winner. I am bold to declare the message of Jesus Christ. And I am effective in my ministry of being a reconciler in Jesus' name, Amen.
