THE VICTORY THAT OVERCOMES

9/20/2025

“For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4).

As a young believer, someone once told me it was hard to live a victorious Christian life. When he said that, I laughed—not out of mockery, but because I knew his conclusion was based on experiences that contradicted God’s Word. Sadly, many today do the same, allowing their experiences to redefine Scripture. But saints, our lives are not meant to interpret God’s Word; God’s Word is meant to interpret our lives.

When I heard him speak that way, it stirred me to make bold declarations: “I refuse affliction and lack; I live each day in prosperity. My steps are ordered in grace and abundance.” That is how you respond when unbelief is spoken around you. If someone says, “We’re all going to get sick,” don’t accept it—step aside and declare, “I refuse sickness! I walk in divine health. The wisdom of God is working in me.” Let faith-filled words wash off the pollution of doubt.

Even if others—yes, even respected Christians—live contrary to the Word, refuse to let their example become your doctrine. Someone may say, “But my uncle Jimmy is a deacon, and he believes suffering and lack are part of Christianity.” My question is: Do you want to live like Uncle Jimmy, or do you want to live like Jesus? Jesus didn’t live in defeat, and neither should you.

Scripture makes this clear: “Though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9). Again, “By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life” (2 Peter 1:3). Everything required for a life of victory was deposited in your spirit the day you were saved.

So stop waiting on God for what He has already provided. You don’t need to beg for healing, peace, progress, or prosperity—they are already yours in Christ. What you need is to activate what has been deposited in you. How? Through your faith confessions. Speak the Word boldly until your experiences align with divine reality.

Beloved, you are not waiting for victory—you were born into it. Refuse to live beneath the grace of God. Your testimony is not a life of struggle but a life that radiates the goodness of your Father.

Faith-Filled Confession:

I live a triumphant life. I walk in victory every day and in every way. My life is a testimony of God’s goodness. I declare that I live continually in divine health, peace, and prosperity. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
