"Now the cities of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, according to their families, were... Ophrah" (Joshua 18:21,23).
The Church, of which you are a member, has a destiny that is foreshadowed in scripture by the tribe of Benjamin. Prophesying about the Church, Jacob says, "Benjamin is a ravenous wolf; In the morning he shall devour the prey, And at night he shall divide the spoil" (Genesis 49:27).
Our mandate here on earth is to rule and reign. It is this rulership that the Holy Spirit testifies about when He says through Paul in Romans 5:17, "For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ."
That said, there are qualities required for fulfilling the prophetic destiny of the Church, corporately and individually, and these qualities are symbolized by the names of the twelve cities of the tribe of Benjamin.
In today's theme scripture is the ninth city, Ophrah. In Hebrew, Ophrah means "fawn" and is symbolic of beauty or divine symmetry fostered by love. Every time the word Ophrah or fawn is used in the Bible, we are drawn to symmetry. "Your two breasts are like two fawns, Twins of a gazelle, Which feed among the lilies" (Songs of Solomon 4:5). It implies twinning, marriage, copycatting, or imitating to achieve harmonious symmetry.
That said, for the Chuch to fulfill its destiny, we must embody God by twinning, copycatting, and imitating Him. Jesus said, "...Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner." (John 5:19) Like Jesus, this is our calling too.
When we copy God's ways, words, and deeds, we are establishing His divine pattern on earth, and nothing rings of victory like "copying and pasting" a divine pattern on earth. In Numbers 24:4-9, the reason why Balaam could not curse Israel successfully was that they were spread out according to a divine pattern that God had given to them, and because that pattern could only trigger blessings, Balaam didn't stand a chance of carrying out his insidious enterprise against a heavenly pattern.
This is why to embody Ophrah, we must "...be imitators of God as dear children" (Ephesians 5:1). Only say the things He says. Act on the ideas that He alone inspires and rehash patterns that He originates in your life.
Saint, your victory has been pre-ordained; your job is to take it by twinning with God in love.
Have an awesome day!
Faith-Filled Confession
I am a person of beauty and divine symmetry. I am the expression of divine patterns, words, and deeds such that my victory is unstoppable. I bask in the aura of divine victory so much that people take notice of my God and desire to follow Him. In Jesus' name. Amen
