"And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ..." (Philippians 1:9-10) When you got born again, God's love was broadcasted all over your spirit. Romans 5:5 says "Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us." This means that in terms of capacity, you are capable of loving, forgiving and caring for others like God does. In today's theme scripture, we get a hint of the Spirit's desire in Paul's prayer and it is fascinating. God desires that your love find a fuller expression in intimate knowledge of His word and your capacity to discern different ramifications of existence so that you can make excellent choices and be perfect as your Heavenly Father is perfect. In other words, the Lord desires that you let Agape be the frame from which you approach and interpret His word and every other information you encounter. Now, if Agape becomes the prism from which you interact with the word of God, many things you did not fully understand in the Bible will suddenly become clearer. The Bible will all together come alive and keep coming alive to you in a way you have never known prior to now. The other thing is that when Agape becomes the framework from which you operate, your discernment, whether it be spiritual, financial or commonsensical will be so honed that the choices you make in words, thoughts and actions will be so faultless that reproach and offence would be so far from your conduct. However, you must understand that allowing Agape to become the frame from which you approach knowledge of the Word and other types of knowledge is a progressive journey that intensifies with praying Philippians 1:9-10. So spend time, as often as you can, to pray this prayer for yourself and your loved ones, and watch for a significant improvement in the choices you all make. God bless you. Faith-Filled Confession I make excellent choices because I progressively process the word of God and all the other information that comes to me, spiritually and commonsensical by Agape. And as I judge things by Agape, there is no offence or blame to my conceptions, words and creations in Jesus' name. Amen
