"I will make the lame my remnant, those driven away, a strong nation. The LORD will rule over them in Mount Zion from that day and forever" (Micah 4:7 NIV).
As we reach the second half of the year, it behooves on me to remind you that this is still your Year of Wonder. The Lord said that He would make you a portent. In the timetable of God concerning you, this is the year to confess, "I have become as a wonder to many, But You are my strong refuge" (Psalm 71:7). This is that year when your results would astound your family, colleagues, neighbors, and peers.
And I prophesy, "Nations will come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising" (Isaiah 60:3). Say, "Amen." This is exactly what the Lord is saying to you in today's theme scripture. He says, "I will make the lame my remnant, those driven away, a strong nation. The LORD will rule over them in Mount Zion from that day and forever." (Micah 4:7 NIV)
The lame represent those who are not where they ought to be by the divine plan. In the scheme of things, their mobility in destiny has been hindered by unbelief, bad habits, lack of helpers, lack of opportunities, and bad timing. They have every excuse in the world and more to be where they are in life. The impotent at the pool of Bethesda had the same excuse: "Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me." (John 5:7).
I have good news for you today; your excuses are no longer relevant. God is saying, this year, I will make you exclusive. That's the meaning of the word, "remnant". Your days of obscurity are over. Hallelujah!
The other picture He paints is that of an outcast. Maybe you have been told that you don't belong in certain spaces because of your gender, skin color, faith or educational background. The Lord is saying, refuse to disqualify yourself from applying for that job, grant, contract, and so on because His establishment of you is now irrevocable.
And this is not about you. God has settled it in Himself that He wants to brag with your life. Malachi 3:16-18 says, "Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, And the LORD listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear the LORD And who meditate on His name. "They shall be Mine," says the LORD of hosts, "On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them As a man spares his own son who serves him." Then you shall again discern Between the righteous and the wicked, Between one who serves God And one who does not serve Him."
Let it be known that this is your time. Speak in other tongues and glorify the LORD. Hallelujah!
Faith-Filled Confession
This is my time of consolation. The Lord's enlargement is my testimony, and I have become a portent to many because the Lord is my strong refuge. I say, yes to the move of God's Spirit in my life in this season, and the glory of the Lord is revealed in me. Glory to God.
