THE REMNANT OF THE LORD

06/20/2023

"I will make the lame a remnant, And the outcast a strong nation; So the LORD will reign over them in Mount Zion From now on, even forever." (Micah 4:7)

There is a divine nudge not to overlook, write off, or underrate people who seem unqualified or untrained in the things of God. Why? Our God specializes in using people that society deems unusable. More specifically, God is saying, "do not write-off yourself because of shortcomings or feelings that you don't quite fit the mold of the general perception of who a man or woman of God should be." Act 4:13 says, "Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus."

Notice that availability to God was all that was required for Peter and John to become influential for God in their society. Hear me; you don't need to know how to preach, start a life group or church, or take on that new assignment your pastor handed you. All you need is to be available to Jesus.

Understand that the competence required to achieve God's agenda is supplied to you by God Himself. There's no human brilliance, effort, or scheme that can achieve for God like the grace that He makes available to you when you make yourself available to Him through fellowship. The Amplified version of 2 Corinthians 3:5 says, "Not that we are sufficiently qualified in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency and qualifications come from God." This means that your personal abilities are irrelevant to the accomplishment of the call of God on your life; only your willingness and obedience matter.

What am I saying today? The Lord wants to make something wonderful out of your life, and all He needs is your willingness and obedience. The guarantee here is that your shortcomings or feelings of inadequacy do not sway what He would do with you. John 8:12 says, "Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."

Your job is simply to say, "Yes sir!" And follow the Lord when He asks you to do anything and mind you, He is already asking a lot from you, even right now. Turn away from anything that limits you in your eyes and see yourself with the eyes of your Creator, who knows you best and is now asking you to trust Him in this next phase.

Saint, it is time to respond with utter doggedness by following Him wherever He leads you.

Have a blessed day!

Faith-Filled Confession

I am the sheep of Christ's pasture. Therefore, I go where and when I am led by the Good Shepherd. I follow after the Lord in righteousness so that He makes me all that I can be in Him. I am His remnant. I am His strong nation, and Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. Hallelujah.
