“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also quicken your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”
(Romans 8:11)
The Holy Spirit is more than an influence. He is not merely wind, fire, oil, a dove, or an emotional surge that makes you shake. These are only manifestations of His presence, not His essence. The Holy Spirit is a Person—the divine personality of God who was first introduced to us in Genesis 1:2:
“Now the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”
Why was the Spirit moving over the waters? Because of the seed nature of the Word.Had God spoken before the Spirit brooded, the Word would not have produced. The Hebrew word translated “moved” is rachaph, which means to brood, hover, or fertilize. Thus, when the Spirit of God moved, He was fertilizing the earth, preparing it to receive the eternal Word.
When God said, “Let there be…” the Holy Spirit made those very words manifest. Likewise today, the Holy Spirit in you makes your life fertile ground for the Word of God. His presence destroys barrenness of every kind—whether financial, emotional, or physical.
I have never found anyone who truly walked with the Spirit and lived an ordinary life. The Holy Spirit makes ordinary people extraordinary. Look at what He did with David, Peter, Paul—and now, you. You are His latest masterpiece. And the exciting part is—He’s not done yet!
Romans 8:11 declares that the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead quickens your mortal body. This is what I call divine fertilization. He is not only working in your life—He is brooding over every area connected to you, bringing dead things back to life. When the Spirit moves, it signals the birthing of the Word into tangible reality.
The Holy Spirit is the Father’s gift to the new creation. He is your indispensable Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Teacher, Guide, Intercessor, and Strengthener. He beautifies your life and energizes your destiny.
I remember once trying to carry two large boxes into my house. They were so heavy that I wished someone could help me. I managed to lift one inside, but when I turned around to get the second box—it was already in the hallway! For a moment I was stunned, until the Word of the Lord rose in my spirit:
“Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” (Hebrews 1:14).
I knew it was the manifestation of the Holy Spirit and His ministering angels at work. Glory to God!
Remember Jesus’ words in John 16:13:
“When He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all truth.”
You don’t have to walk in darkness another day of your life. Learn to listen to Him. He brings light, guidance, and the tangible presence of the Father.
Paul prayed that we might “know and understand what is the immeasurable, unlimited, and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe” (Ephesians 1:19–20 AMP).
It is my heartfelt prayer for all our friends and partners at Grace House Church that you will walk in the reality of the Word—to your fullest capacity.
God bless you richly.
