THE PURPOSE OF REVELATION

2/18/2026

“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak…” (1 Corinthians 2:12–13).

Jesus said in John 16:13 that when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide us into all truth and will not speak on His own authority, but only what He hears. The Holy Spirit never contradicts the revealed will of God in Christ. He speaks what He hears from the Father.

Jesus Himself followed this pattern. In John 12:49 He said, “I have not spoken on My own authority; the Father who sent Me commanded Me what to say and how to say it.” Because Jesus spoke only the Father’s words, the Spirit confirmed those words with signs, wonders, and miracles.

Here is the pattern:

The Father speaks.

Jesus declares it.

The Spirit confirms it.

There is power in saying what the Father says. When we speak words that originate from God, we activate divine power. But when we speak what He has not said, we are left to produce it ourselves. When we speak His Word, He takes responsibility for bringing it to pass. He moves whatever must be moved to fulfill what He has spoken.

This is why revelation must lead to proclamation. The Spirit reveals to your spirit what has already been freely given to you in Christ. Your role is to speak it boldly. Jesus said to speak to the mountain—not about the mountain. Mountains move when God’s Word is declared in faith.

Whatever situation you face, the Spirit has a Word for you. That Word carries the power to release victory, healing, provision, and peace. As you fellowship with the Word and the Spirit, listen carefully—and then speak what you hear.

When you proclaim what God has revealed, He confirms it.

God bless you!

Faith-Filled Confession:

I have received the Holy Spirit, and He reveals to my spirit the things freely given to me by the Father. I boldly declare that I am blessed and favored. I walk in wisdom and understanding. I abide in divine health and prosper in all things. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
