“Let them shout for joy and rejoice, who favor my vindication and want what is right for me; Let them say continually, “Let the LORD be magnified, who delights and takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant” (Psalm 35:27 AMP).
God enjoys when His ministers prosper. But what has been misunderstood for so long has been what exactly the Lord considers prosperity. Biblical prosperity is a state of being well in everything. It's not just having money and provision, it is having fame and influence in your world. It is having a reputation that your friends and family, who are still maturing in the things of God, can rely upon. Biblical prosperity is a God-imparted ability to embody His greatness and majesty.
In this year of the God-kind, the Lord roots for your prosperity and has made everything ready. Genesis 26:12-13 paints God's picture of you with Isaac. It says, "Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous." Now, replace your name with Isaac and say it about yourself in the first person.
Let's go: "Then I sowed in this land, and reaped in this year a hundredfold, and the Lord blessed me so that I prospered, and continued prospering until I became stupendously prosperous. Hallelujah!"
Hear me, the lines have fallen to you in pleasant places but you won't know this until you sown in this land. Sowing might mean starting up that business, applying for that job or scholarship, or going on that retreat. The God-kind are not a people to shrivel in fear, doubt, or apprehension. God sees you as an invading army, taking territory. For thus says the Lord, " Blow the trumpet in Zion, And sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; For the day of the LORD is coming, For it is at hand: A day of darkness and gloominess, A day of clouds and thick darkness, Like the morning clouds spread over the mountains. A people come, great and strong, The like of whom has never been; Nor will there ever be any such after them, Even for many successive generations" (Joel 2:1-2).
You are that people, great and strong. And mountains of influence are laid bare before you, for the Lord luxuriates when you take the space that He ordained you to take in the realm of men. Has it not been said that the Lord gave the word and great was the company of them that published it? You are that company of publishers, spoken in a time before. And your voice will be heard in all the earth. Only speak and do not let up.
Go join yourself to that school board, university, company, law firm, real estate company, summer school, dance program. "For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God" (Romans 8:19). You have been considering it because I have put it in your heart. Go and give voice there to the saving power of the Lord Jesus Christ.
This is your day of prosperity. For when the world cries recession and stagnation, this is your cue to assert the voice I have given you. I am with you! Take over.
Oh, bless the Lord with holy hands!
Have an excellent day!
Faith-Filled Confession
This is my day of prosperity. I assert my wealth, voice, and presence in public spaces for my Master Jesus. I am unrelenting, undaunted, and unmoved in the face of adversity. This is my time and I publish the news of salvation everywhere. In Jesus' name. Amen
