"O mountains, that you skipped like rams? O little hills, like lambs? Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, At the presence of the God of Jacob" (Psalm 114:6-7).
The storms of life are a very present aspect of the Christian life. Storms come, and storms go. In the middle of a storm, what matters is how much of God's presence you invoke to stem the tide. Hear me, saints, the presence is the answer. Now, one might ask, what do you mean by the presence? Is God not everywhere? Yes, God is everywhere, but His manifested presence is not. The prophets in the Old Testament referred to God's manifested presence as God's hand, finger, or glory.
Throughout the scriptures, the presence was courted through some form of acknowledgment through sacrificial giving, prayer, singing, and dance. In 2 Chronicles 5:13-14, the Bible says, "Indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying: "For He is good, For His mercy endures forever," that the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God." This implies that invoking God's manifested presence requires intentionality.
It doesn't matter what storm you are currently experiencing in your life, job, marriage, or business. The manifested presence of God is the atmosphere for miracles. And you must court this atmosphere at all costs. To court the presence of God in whatever situation, speaking and singing in tongues and listening to spiritual messages and music are necessary. The Psalmist says, "You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore" (Psalm 16:11). The direction, solution-instruction, and get-out-of-jail card that you seek is in the manifested presence of God. Court it now.
You are blessed.
Faith-Filled Confession:
As I take time today to court the presence of God, I harness the instructions, prophecies, and action steps that I require to come out on top in any situation. I have clarity, and the obstacles in front of me all skip away like little lambs. Hallelujah!
