THE POWER OF GRACE

“Therefore let us come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” — Hebrews 4:16

Grace is not something you have to earn. It is not reserved for a select few, and it is not available only when everything in your life is perfect. Because of Jesus, you have been given access to the throne of grace according to Hebrews 4:16. The Greek word that translates grace here is Thronos, which means POWER. So that verse can also read, “Therefore let us come boldly to the POWER OF GRACE, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

The key of the verse is “come boldly.” Meaning, come like you own it. Don’t come begging or doubtful. He says, “Come boldly” because it’s already yours. Imagine how you got into the clothes you have on right now. You boldly took them from the closet and put them on. Now, the Scripture says confidently, boldly, come to the POWER OF GRACE AND COLLECT MERCY.

The word “obtain” or “receive” in that same verse is from the Greek lambanó, which means to take something that is yours. So, in essence, God’s Word is saying to you that this GRACE belongs to you. And He is charging you to TAKE IT.

This grace is super sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9). This grace is a divine enablement for your present and your future.

So, when you feel inadequate, collect grace. When the enemy tries to talk you out of your place in Christ through condemnation, collect grace. When that rebellious circumstance tries to convince you that you are on your own, collect grace.

Child of God, whatever you are facing today, you have enough grace to deal with it. Just collect it like you would your clothes. You make ask, how do I collect this grace? Collect it with your confession of God’s Word. Affirm what God says about you and this grace will be supplied you.

FAITH-FILLED CONFESSION

I have access to the grace of God. I come boldly to the throne of grace because my confidence is in Jesus. I receive mercy, strength, wisdom, courage, and divine help for every situation. I am not dependent on my ability alone; God’s grace is working in me and through me. His grace is sufficient for me. I have everything I need to fulfill God's purpose for my life. I walk in grace, I live by grace, and I am empowered by grace. Hallelujah!
