THE MOMENT IS NOW

08/28/2024

Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as My priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.”

God reveals that His people, who are meant to be victorious, are defeated in the battle of faith not because of the devil's power or the strength of their circumstances but because they lack knowledge. This lack of knowledge comes from disregarding the Word of God.

We can unknowingly reject God’s Word by failing to follow His instructions. For example, God commands us to pray for those who hurt us, but instead, we may gossip about them. If we choose to delay or ignore His instructions, even with good intentions, we are still rejecting His Word. It’s easy to find "valid" reasons to ignore God’s commands. We may justify holding onto unforgiveness, sickness, financial struggles, a bad temper, a critical spirit, rebellion, low self-esteem, pride, or a mindset of “my way or no way”—all of which contradict the destiny God has planned for us. But God is telling you today that the problem isn’t the devil or anyone else—the problem is that you’re ignoring His Word.

Saints, when we live outside of God’s Word, we are, in effect, rejecting God. You might think, “Pastor, I’m doing my best to follow God.” And while your efforts are noted, no amount of effort can replace true revelation. God has invested too much in your life for you to stay where you are. He is calling you to rise up and stand with Him—to stand in victory and power through the Holy Spirit. Jesus said in Luke 11:23, “Anyone who isn’t with Me opposes Me, and anyone who isn’t working with Me is actually working against Me.” In other words, whenever you choose not to stand with God’s Word, for any reason, you are standing against it. And to stand against the Word is to stand against the fulfillment of God’s plan for your life. The enemy knows this. He understands that the only way to derail God’s plan for your life is to lead you to stand against God’s Word. One of his key tactics is to make you hold onto bitterness and walk in unforgiveness.

So, take a stand with the Word and walk in love.

Faith-Filled Confession:

Nothing will stop me from claiming all that is mine in this season. I rise up, and I advance by the power of the Holy Spirit. I declare that I am moving forward and making progress in Jesus’ name. Amen.

PRAYER DIRECTION

1. Pray in tongues for your family. Proclaim the name of the Lord Jesus over them, with peace, health, protection, righteousness, prosperity, and grace.

2. Pray in the Spirit and prophesy as the Spirit inspires for the deliverance of children and teens from satanic ideologies, worldly lusts, and the corrupting influences of this world, especially through social media, video games, and entertainment (2 Thessalonians 3:1-2).
