"For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace, there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice. From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this" (Isaiah 9:6-7).
Jesus said in John 10:10, "The thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life." And He has done that, which means that everyone who is born again has a RICH AND SATISFYING LIFE. And Christmas is about this life. Apostle Peter wrote concerning this life, that "...the prophets who foretold the grace to come to you searched and investigated carefully, trying to determine the time and setting to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when He predicted the sufferings of Christ and THE GLORIES TO FOLLOW." So you see that Christmas is Christ in you and the revelation of His glories in you and through you. It is not about colored lights, trees, gifts, parties, or any other earthly object that we have associated with it.
Isaiah 9:6 says, "For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Pay attention to His names as prophesied by the prophet Isaiah: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Child of God, this is what Christmas means. The son of God is your Wonderful Counselor. He is an extraordinary strategist. He knows how to get you out of every trouble you face. No situation is foreign to Him. The Bible says He will not allow any problem that will overcome you to come your way. He is to you, and through you, the Mighty God; a fortress in every conflict. He relishes every opportunity to show Himself strong and mighty on your behalf. He is your Everlasting Father, a dependable force, ever-present and ready to defend you in the face of demonic assaults. He is your Prince of Peace. A stable force in every storm; able, ready, and proactive in any situation you may find yourself. He is your Christmas.
So stand tall and declare, "Christmas is Christ in me, and His glory revealed."
Merry Christmas.
Faith-filled confessions:
I have a rich and satisfying life. My life displays the glories of Christ. Therefore, I live each day in health, peace, joy, and plenty.
