THE MAN IN GOD’S MIRROR

6/25/2025

“But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.”— James 1:25

There is a picture of your beautiful, victorious life in the Word of God. Don’t be deceived by circumstances or experiences that try to paint a different picture. No matter how close they may seem to the truth, if they do not align with the Word, they are mere shadows and not your reality.

Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand how the Word of God has propelled our ministry to do what others thought we were incapable of doing. For us, God’s Word was enough. Like the ten lepers in Luke 17, we didn’t need to see the full picture before acting—we simply believed. We didn’t need to see a building or bank balance; all we needed was, “The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it” (Psalm 68:11).

Take a moment to meditate on 2 Corinthians 2:14: “But thanks be to God, who always puts us on display in Christ and through us spreads the aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.”

This isn’t just a comforting verse—it’s a vivid portrait of your eternal triumph in Christ. While a mirror may not reflect this victory, the Word declares it. In heaven, on earth, and even in hell, your life is evidence of Christ’s resurrection power. You are the joy that was set before Jesus—what He saw when He endured the cross (Hebrews 12:2). What a reminder of how precious and valuable you are to God!

Beloved, your life is not a rollercoaster of ups and downs. Even when the world is panicking and struggling, you have a different testimony. No sickness, setback, or situation can overpower the life of Christ in you. So, don’t let circumstances shake you. Instead, use the Word like an X-ray—see what your natural eyes cannot. Choose to believe the report of the Lord.

Like Joseph said to his brothers in Genesis 50:20, “You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.” And 1 John 5:4 reminds us, “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” You’ve already overcome. Hallelujah!

Stop seeking sympathy by speaking or acting contrary to your victory in Christ. That won’t bring the miracle you desire. Your miracle is in the Word. Look into the perfect law of liberty and do what it says. That’s where your transformation lies.

You are blessed!

Faith-Filled Confession:

I refuse to observe lying vanities. God’s Word is forever settled in heaven, and it is forever settled in me. I am victorious, blessed, and continually led in triumph in Christ Jesus!

Prayer Points

  1. Thanksgiving for the Word:

Thank the Lord for the gift of His Word, which is your perfect guide and mirror for life. Thank Him for opening your eyes to see and live out the reality of who you are in Christ. (Psalm 119:105; James 1:25)

  2. Grace to Be a Doer:

Pray that you will not only be a hearer of the Word but a consistent doer. Ask for the grace to walk in total obedience and responsiveness to every instruction of the Holy Spirit. (James 1:22; Philippians 2:13)

  3. Victory Over Circumstances:

Declare that you are not defined by natural experiences but by the Word of God. Refuse to allow any circumstance to dictate your identity or future. Speak your victory boldly. (1 John 5:4; Romans 8:37)

  4. Word-Based Living in the Church:

Intercede for the church family—that every member will develop a strong appetite for the Word, grow in revelation knowledge, and walk in alignment with divine purpose. (Colossians 1:9–10; Acts 20:32)

  5. Manifestation of Glory:

Declare that your life is a reflection of God’s glory. Pray that the aroma of Christ will be seen, felt, and experienced through you everywhere you go. (2 Corinthians 2:14; Isaiah 60:1–3)
