THE LIFE IN CHRIST: AN HONOR OF GOD BESTOWED

“Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.”(1 John 3:9) 

When a person gets born again, the honor of that person’s new life is to live exactly as God would if He were encased in the body of a human person. Question: How would God live if He were you? What limitations would He experience in His body or His finances? How would He resolve the daily challenges of His existence? By panicking or by using a scientific calculator? What would His response be if witches conspired to afflict Him?

Now I know that whatever answers you come up with, it would be preposterous, in any of the scenarios, to consider that God the Father could ever be disadvantaged. 

Yet, in practice, many a Christian suffer loss for failing to realize that as the Father has life in Himself, so has He given to you to have life in yourself according to John 5:26 and 1 John 4:17. 

The greatest honor of your life was being born again. Now, what are you going to do with this life?  Are you going to abuse it by living like a mere mortal or are you going to live up to your true nature.

To live your true nature requires living by two things. It requires the use of  your imagination and your tongue. Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”

This is why you must set your mind on a specific divine outcome about the things you want to change or see happen in your life. Even if God has spoken about something that should occur in your life, it won’t happen until you see it with your imagination and declare it. 

Here’s how we know this: “Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner” (John 5:19).

This honor of being able to live the God-life in reality is not something that anyone can take unto themselves. The Bible says, “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not” (1 John 3:1)

You are a person of honor and you’ve got to carry yourself that way, knowing that you’re responsible for living out the God-life that you have been given, through and through.

Faith-Filled Confession

I live the God-life, a life of honor and grace. I think, talk and act in conformity to the life of God that dwells in me, knowing that as the Father has life in Himself, so do I. I am the express image of my Father’s person. Hallelujah!
