THE LIFE IN CHRIST: A LIFE OF INCREASING GLORY

12/18/2024

"Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him.." (2 Corinthians 3:18MSG)

In Christ, the more aware you are about the God-life, the more of God's glory you manifest. It's not about how much you can fast and pray, even though that is important but how much of God you can see in you, which is often enhanced by fasting and praying.

Jesus committed one crime in the eyes of the Jews and it was that He claimed to have the same life as the Father but He also gave us an insight into how he lived His life on earth. John 5:18-19 says, "Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God. Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner."

In other words, to live the God-life, you must see how the Father lives it. Who is the Father in this instance? The Spirit of the Lord. He is the glory of the Lord that resides in us by which we see and by which we are translated into the same image.

Jesus said you couldn't live the God-life by the flesh. There'd have to be a fellowship of the Spirit to live the God-life. In John 6:63, He says, "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life."

The life of God is lived by words. Just the way a newborn baby learns to move its neck, sit up, crawl, walk and then talk, you must learn to talk the words of the Spirit, to say God's thoughts into being. You know Jesus, while on earth, became so proficient at talking the Word of God that the soldiers who went to arrest Him said, “...No man ever spoke like this Man!” (John 7:46)

The words that you must become proficient at speaking to live the God-life well are words of the Spirit and these are the words that produce miracles. This is why you must, of necessity, get acquainted with the Word of God through study and meditation, so that you can know how to speak it according to the Holy Spirit.

The life in Christ is not cumbersome. It just takes looking, learning and speaking the word of God by the power of the Holy Spirit. This is where the glory of God that you ought to manifest is.

Have a great day.

Faith-Filled Confession

As the Father has life in Himself, so has He given to me to have His life in me. I have the life of God in me now. Therefore, I have overcome the world and its distractions. I have overcome the world and its deception. I have overcome the world with its traps and snares. I am who God says I am. I have what God says I have. And I can do what God says I can do. Hallelujah!

PRAYER DIRECTION FOR TODAY

Philemon 1:6

That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

Let’s begin by acknowledging the goodness, mercy and grace of God in and on our family.

Ephesians 1:18 AMP

And [I pray] that the eyes of your heart [the very center and core of your being] may be enlightened [flooded with light by the Holy Spirit], so that you will know and cherish the hope [the divine guarantee, the confident expectation] to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints (God’s people),

2 Kings 6:16-17

“Do not be afraid,” Elisha answered, “for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Then Elisha prayed, “O LORD, please open his eyes that he may see.”

And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw that the hills were full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Pray that God’s will grasp the enormity and immensity of the God life in them and walk in it effortlessly.

Luke 5:17

One day Jesus was teaching, and the Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. People had come from Jerusalem and from every village of Galilee and Judea, and the power of the Lord was present for Him to heal the sick.

Pray and declare that people are coming from everywhere to our churches and the power of God in our midst is changing and transforming lives.

Zachariah 8:23

Thus saith the Lord of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.

Pray that God’s grace will find expression in our brethren such that people around them will be pulled into the anointing of the Holy Ghost.
