THE KEY IS UNDERSTANDING

"I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture." (John 10:9).
Proverbs 4:7 says, "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding." Therefore, after all is said and done, you must get understanding because there is no successful and fulfilled 2023 without understanding. Here's an example of how this applies. Jesus said, "Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:29). Many have read this verse and wrongly applied it to the church. Yet, when Jesus spoke those words, He was referring to those on the outside.
When we received Christ to live in us at salvation, we handed to Jesus all of our burdens, at which point, He gave us His rest. We, who are saved, are no longer burdened by sin, sickness, lack, confusion, or anything else; we are now in Christ's rest. However, to the one that is not saved, Jesus is still saying, "Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Praise God!
Now that you are saved, you do not need to be delivered from the devil's oppression. You have now been given the charge to liberate others who are under the devil's tyranny. We must understand this distinction and walk in the light of this truth. A failure to do so will lead to us living as though what Jesus did was a lie. As long as we keep asking God to do the things that He already did in Christ Jesus for us, we will never walk in the fullness of the blessing of Christ.
The same understanding must be applied to John 10:9, where Jesus said, "I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture." The key to this verse is, "If anyone enters by Me." So the question is, "Have you entered by Him?" If the answer is "yes," then you are saved. Therefore, you have entered into His rest of divine health, prosperity, victory, and all that is consistent with Heaven. This is not something you get when you fast and pray. You entered the same day you confessed the lordship of Jesus over your life. The Greek word for "saved" in this verse is sózó, and it means to heal, preserve, save, do well and be whole. In other words, the day you entered by Christ, you were eternally healed and delivered. You are no longer in need of healing or deliverance; He did it once and for all. Henceforth, Jesus has become your salvation, preservation, and victory. Hallelujah! Let's pay attention to Jesus' words in our text. He never said that those who entered by Him would experience the process of salvation. Rather, He made it clear that those who entered by Him, get saved one time, and thereafter, their lives are characterized by a glorious life of pleasure.
What do you want to see manifest this year? The key is to go for understanding and walk in the light of it.
So get excited!
Faith-Filled Confession:
I am healed and delivered. My days of being weary and burdened are over! I am in my place of rest. My Lord, Jesus, has given me peace on every side and has perfected all that concerns me. To Him alone be all praise and glory. Hallelujah!
