THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH

06/03/2024

"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life" (John 6:47).

When God said to us in John 6:47 that He who believes in Me has eternal life, He was distinguishing us from the rest of the world. However, it is not enough to have something, knowing how to use it is of utmost importance. The whole point of giving us His life was for us to live His quality of life; to live in absolute God-status.

Now, the Bible only requires two witnesses for any principle to be established. 1 Corinthians 13:1 says, "This will be the third time I am coming to you. “By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established.” However, we are given four witnesses (in Habakkuk 2:4; Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11, and Hebrews 10:38) on how to live the God kind of life.

The Bible is very clear that we live the God kind of life by faith. But what is faith? And what does it mean to live by faith?

Hebrews 11:1 AMP says, "Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses]." The definition of faith that should stand out in this scripture is that faith is the conviction of the reality of things in the word of God, even though they are unseen. In other words, you KNOW with absolute assurance that what the Bible says is absolute reality.

To live by faith is to live by the conviction of these unseen realities. But how does this work, day to day? The whole process of living by faith begins and ends with how you use your tongue. Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit." So if death and life are products of the tongue, it means that living the God-life is connected to using your tongue to affirm your conviction of unseen realities

The process by which you affirm your conviction of unseen realities is a three-part system of meditating on, praying, and prophesying the word of God daily. Yes, you may have received the God-life (according to John 6:47) but living it entails using your tongue in the prescribed manner. Meditate, pray, and prophesy the word of God. Every other thing is bound to align.

Have an excellent day.

Faith-Filled Confession

I use my tongue in a way that affirms convictions of unseen realities. I am what God says I am. I have what God says I have and I can do what God says I can. Therefore, I live the God-life, knowing that my tongue is God's secret tool for advancing me in the Zoe life.
