THE GOSPEL AND THE HOLY SPIRIT

5/5/2026

“But you shall receive power, after the Holy Spirit has come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto Me…” (Acts 1:8).

The advancement of God’s kingdom in the earth is tied directly to two things: the ministry of the Holy Spirit and the proclamation of the Gospel. These two are inseparable. You cannot have true kingdom impact without the Holy Spirit, and you cannot fulfill the purpose of the Holy Spirit without preaching Jesus.

Jesus Himself modeled this for us. He did not operate independently; He functioned in complete dependence on the Father through the Spirit. As He said in John 14:10, the works He did were not of Himself, but of the Father working through Him. If Jesus needed that kind of dependence, then we must understand that the Holy Spirit is not optional—He is essential. He is our ability, our guide, and our empowerment.

However, it is important to understand why that power is given. Acts 1:8 makes it clear: the power of the Holy Spirit is primarily for witnessing. The goal is not just spiritual experiences or demonstrations, but effective communication of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Spirit empowers you to make Christ known.

Yes, the supernatural is real, and it is part of the believer’s life. But it follows a divine order. Scripture shows us in Mark 16:20 that the disciples preached first, and then the Lord confirmed the Word with signs. The signs did not lead—they followed. This means that when Christ is preached, the Holy Spirit responds by validating that message with power.

So, if you desire to see more of the supernatural, shift your focus. Don’t chase signs—become a witness. Don’t pursue manifestations—pursue obedience. As you yield yourself to the Holy Spirit and boldly declare Jesus, you create an atmosphere where Heaven backs your words.

Let your life carry one clear message: Jesus. Speak Him. Live Him. Share Him. And as you do, the Holy Spirit will confirm His Word through you with undeniable power.

Faith-Filled Confession

Holy Spirit, I yield myself fully to You today. You are my strength and my guide. I declare that I am empowered to be a bold and effective witness of Jesus Christ. As I speak His name and share His truth, signs and wonders follow. My life brings glory to God and draws many to Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
