“[Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight” (Philippians 2:13 AMP).
God would never have called you to live a life characterized by beauty, victory, health, prosperity and peace without giving you the necessary resources to do so. For example, when the scripture says, “…just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do” (1 Peter 1:15). God was not asking you to be something that you are not already; or to do something that you don’t already have the ability to do. In other words, when He said, “be holy,” He was saying, “be yourself,” because you were born holy and have been infused with divine ability to live the holy life. So be the holy you that you are. Hence, when God tells you to put certain things away that are inconsistent with the beautiful life that you have, it’s because you can. And don’t ever think that you can’t, because that would be a lie. I once heard a fellow say, “God is working on my anger issue.” And I thought to myself, “You may as well wait a thousand years because God will not do anything about it.” That responsibility is no longer God’s; it is now yours. Ephesians 4:31 says “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, outcry and slander, along with every form of malice.” He never said pray to God to get rid of it. The onus is on you and not God. It’s strange how many have come up with polished excuses to justify their spiritual irresponsibility..
Whatever you require to live the heavenly life here on earth is already in you. Philippians 2:13 AMP says “[Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight.” So if God is calling you to something greater, it because you have the ability and capacity to do something greater and no excuse will justify why the beautiful life of Jesus was not seen in you. All you have to do is get into God’s Word and respond to that in-working power of grace that is in you. Confess again and again that you are more than a conqueror. Acknowledge that power because it is in you. Also, walk by faith subduing everything that may constitute an obstacle on your path. In Jesus name!
God Bless You!
Faith Filled Confession:
I acknowledge the power of God working in me to live out my beautiful life in Christ. I show forth the glory of Him that has called me into the life of Grace. Grace is at work in my health, family, finances and all that concerns me, in Jesus name, Amen.
