“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”(Hebrews 4:12).
The most powerful force on earth is the Word of God. I know you have heard about the dangerous capabilities of nuclear power but it doesn’t come close enough to the Word. By the way, there are two Greek descriptors for the Word of God in the Bible. The first one is "logos" which refers to God’s body of knowledge (or the way God knows things), and the second one is "rhema," which is God’s spoken word about a person, place, or thing, per time.
Today’s devotional concentrates on the "logos" of God’s Word. Every verse of scripture from the Books of Genesis to Revelation make up the "logos." 2 Timothy 3:16 says “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” The Bible also declares in today’s theme scripture that it can distinguish and resolve issues on all three planes of earthly existence: the spiritual; the soulish and the physical realms.
The Word of God, as logos, can expel a demon, heal a psychological trauma, and repair an arthritic knee in one go. How? You meditate on the scriptures that pertain to God’s body of knowledge related to your well-being.
Just so you are certain, God’s Word majors on your well-being. 3 John 2 KJV says, “Beloved [referring to you], I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” 1 Thessalonians 5:23 says, “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Settle it today that God wants you to prosper on all three levels of existence, and by simply meditating on His thoughts about you, you will actualize His hopes for your future.
Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” There is no disappointment, defeat, or disadvantage in the hope and future that God has for you.
Hear me, if you have ever doubted yourself in the past, or doubted that God is interested in you and your future, let these doubts die today.
Make a daily decision to meditate because of the power it wields in your spirit, soul, and body. If you have not been meditating, start with the scriptures mentioned in today’s devotional.
Have a great day!
Faith-Filled Confession
I bind my mind to God’s Word through meditation. The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord so no disadvantage can come to me based on where I live in this world. God’s Word holds the key to my bright and glorious life and for this reason, I am joined to the Word of God in every matter, relationship, situation, or circumstance. Hallelujah!
