"But You [LORD] are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel." (Psalm 22:3)
Testimonies are a form of praise to God. When you testify of what God did for you; praise is inherent in that testimony because by testifying, you are attributing the miracle to God.
Today's theme scripture says that God is enthroned in the praises of Israel, meaning that every time you testify of God's greatness, a blanket of His manifest presence envelopes you.
The Prophet Isaiah gives us a distinct picture of what augurs every time you give testimonies. You are proclaiming "..the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified” (Isaiah 61:2-3).
Let me break this down, when you testify, you are announcing to everyone in need of a miracle that this is their due season. So if, for example, you testify to becoming pregnant, you are stating a due season for someone else who is in need of a baby.
Secondly, when you testify, you are also announcing to rebel holders of authority that their time is up. Not that Kairos and Chronos are synchronized and the only fruit of the season of testimonies for the saints is liberty.
Next, those who mourned are comforted by testimonies, and by "mourning", for us as a church, the reference is to those who participate in our Code Red campaign and early morning prayers. The testimonies that are been shared are a sign that those things we prayed about privately and corporately have now been answered so please pay attention to the other things and people you prayed about that do not seem like answers have come because they have.
Next, your testimonies announce the exchange of beauty for ashes. The ashes are not just removed. Addictions, debts and shame which are representative of ashes are not just obliterated but a new fire, grace and anointing have taken the place of these ashes. Hallelujah!
Finally, the manifest presence that the prophet describes as "the garment of praise" comes upon the people of God and supplants "the spirit of heaviness." As God is enthroned when you give testimonies, recognize that it is a weapon that obliterates depression.
Why is this important? The Bible says so that the hearers of the testimonies might be called trees of righteousness; the planting of the LORD so that God might be praised and glorified. Glory!
Faith-Filled Confession
I testify of God's greatness and I am equally an eager hearer of testimonies. I give God the glory that is due to His name, for all the things that He has done for me this year! Hallelujah!
