“The woman then left her water pot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?” John 4:28-29
There is something powerful about telling folks around you that God did it. Truth be told, it’s a sin to hide your testimony from others. How can God heal you of cancer and you won’t tell anyone about it? I dare say, you might get sick again if you don’t testify. Here is why, In Luke 17:12-19 the Bible says “And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole”
Notice that Jesus commended the one who returned to give glory to God, and said unto him, “Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.” By coming to thank God for his miracle, he got something more than healing; he was made whole. Meaning, everything he had lost as a result of the leprosy was completely restored. Not only that, the possibility of that sickness coming back became zero.
In yesterday’s devotional, I mentioned how we often missed out on God's greater blessings because we are focused on the spectacular? I know you prayed for a baby but God gave you a new house. You may have been expecting a million dollar increase, but what was your attitude when you received a fifty thousand dollar raise? Did you trivialize it as nothing, or did you complain that it wasn't enough? Rather, let your heart be in a continuous state of gratitude. Tell the folks around you that God did it. If I were you, I will count my blessings and worship the Lord passionately from my spirit for what He has done. David said in Psalm 103:1-3 “Praise the Lord, my soul all my inmost being, praise his holy name.Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,”
Remember that it was the fellow that came back to give thanks that received God's greater blessing. So, I encourage you today, even when the physical contradicts what God has said, be a person of praise, for it is with praise and thanksgiving that you will unlock and experience God's unspeakable blessings.
God bless you
