“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns” (Isaiah 52:7).
It’s easy to get caught up in one’s own world and lose sight of the beautiful life that we have in Christ. It’s easy for us to get pre-occupied with who has wronged us and who has treated us unfairly that we lose sight of the reason why we are alive. The challenges that we face are only as big as we have chosen to magnify them. But in the midst of whatever it is that we are faced with, we always have the option to magnify our God and not our problems. The truth is that problems naturally gravitate towards their solution. So if you find yourself faced with problems, rejoice! It means that you have the answer! Hallelujah! Do not get so focused on your “issues” that you neglect your spiritual responsibility.
It is your spiritual responsibility as a Christian to bear the good news of Christ. It is your spiritual responsibility to tell the untold about God’s amazing grace. It is your responsibility to bring hope to those that are without hope. There is no other way for the message of Christ to go forth. It has to be disseminated through you. The Bible says in Romans 10:13-15 “For, everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How then can they call on the One they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” The good news is that you have been commissioned and sent by God to do just that! He has sent you forth to preach the gospel to every creature. In Mark 16:15, Jesus said, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” And till today, He has not asked you to stop. We are still on assignment. Jesus said to His disciples in Acts 1:8, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Now, we have the Holy Spirit; we have power and we ought to be about sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. The world needs to know that Jesus saves, heals, and delivers and that they no longer have to live in defeat and misery another day of their life.
I love the words of the Spirit through the prophet Isaiah, “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns” (Isaiah 52:7). This is our message and this is what we proclaim. So be bold to share the gospel with someone today.
God bless you!
Faith-filled confession:
The Holy Spirit, who lives in me, has equipped me to be an effective soul winner. I am bold to declare the message of Jesus Christ. And I am effective in my ministry of being a reconciler in Jesus’ name, Amen.
