TALK ABOUT IT

11/15/2022

"In the same way, let your light so shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:16).

God does certain miracles in our lives that are impossible for us to hide. Even if we were to be quiet about them, those around us would take notice and give God the praise that He rightly deserves! We see this Acts chapter 3. There was no way the man at the gate called Beautiful could have hid his miracle. All who went into that temple knew him to be crippled. So when they saw him walking, they were astounded. The Scripture says, "They all rushed out in amazement to Solomon's Colonnade, where the man was holding tightly to Peter and John." And in Acts 4:16, the council had this to say: "…Everyone living in Jerusalem knows they have performed a notable sign, and we cannot deny it." In other words, this was a story for the evening news.

However, there are other healings and miracles that God performs in our lives that are not visible to the optical eyes. Yet, we are not excused from talking about them and giving Him the glory. If God healed you of depression that started as a result of you being raped as a child, you must put aside the weight of the stigma of being raped and walk in the freedom that Jesus has given to you. The way to do that is by testifying about your miracle. You may have been healed of that depression, but your testimony makes it eternal. When you testify, not only are you restored, like it never happened, but it also makes it eternally impossible for that affliction to rise the second time.

No matter how little your miracle may appear to men, talk about it. If God has done something for you, don't be quiet about it. Make it obvious! When you make it obvious, you communicate faith in God's power to heal to others who face the same challenge you faced. I don't believe the woman with the issue of blood would have made her print in the scriptures today if those who got healed at Jesus' meetings hid their miracles from her. The Bible says that faith comes by hearing, and I believe she must have heard the testimonies of others for her faith to be stirred. Jesus said to her, "your faith has healed you." And the Scripture records that the woman was cured that very hour.

The power of a miracle is in its sharing because when others hear about what God has done, faith is stirred in them, and God gets the glory. Imagine a fellow who asked God for a car and miraculously received the car that he asked for. Yet, he continues to catch the bus like one who received nothing from God. By doing so, he denies God the opportunity to receive the glory. He may have testified to others about the car that God gave to him, but his lifestyle does not reflect the miracle he received. Jesus said in Matthew 5:16, "In the same way, let your light so shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

These good deeds are the in-working of God's power, and God's will is that you make them obvious. So, talk about them on every available platform because your next miracle is connected to your testimony.

God bless you!

Faith-Filled Confession:

My mouth will tell of Your righteous deeds O Lord and of Your saving acts all day long—though I know not how to relate them all. I will proclaim Your mighty acts, sovereign Lord; I will proclaim Your righteous deeds, Yours alone. Since my youth, God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare Your marvelous deeds. Your righteousness, God, reaches to the heavens, You who have done great things. Who is like You, God? Psalm 71:15-17; 19
