STAY HUMBLE AND LISTEN TO GOD

5/31/2025

“In all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”Proverbs 3:6

Saints, I cannot overemphasize the importance of listening to God.

You are never at a loss when you do what God tells you to do.

Someone once said,

“Any time you see me acting foolish, know that it is me and not God.”

And I could not agree more.

The struggles many Christians face today often stem from rebellion against the Word and resistance to the direction of the Holy Ghost. David himself said,

“Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your Word” (Psalm 119:67).

David understood: his struggles came from straying.

Let me say it again: You are never at a loss when you do God’s Word.

Today, the Lord is saying:

Deal wisely with those within your communities of faith who can become stumbling blocks to your destiny. Jesus warned His disciples,

“Be careful and on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees”(Matthew 16:6).

Paul, by the Holy Ghost, echoed the same warning to the church:

  • “Beware of dogs” (Philippians 3:2).

  • “If people are causing divisions among you, give a first and second warning. After that, have nothing more to do with them” (Titus 3:10).

Why these warnings?

Because some people in the house of God carry the wrong spirit—and they can derail your destiny. If the Holy Spirit warns you not to engage with someone, don’t question, debate, or try to “fix it.” Simply obey.

The Holy Spirit sees beyond what you can perceive. When He instructs you to keep your distance, it is for your protection and for the preservation of His purpose in your life. Sometimes, your simple obedience could save both your life and theirs.

At the end of the day, God will never force you to do anything. You must choose to walk in the light of His Word. But understand this:

Every decision has consequences—good or bad. Yet, when you choose to obey, you will always gain, never lose.

Jesus said,

“Verily I say unto you, there is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for My sake, and the gospel's, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time… and in the world to come eternal life”(Mark 10:29–30).

Even when it looks like you’re losing, you’re actually winning in God’s economy.

Child of God, stay humble. Let the Word of God light your path today.

Walk in wisdom as you relate to those around you, and listen to the Holy Spirit's promptings—without question.

Your obedience secures your destiny.

Faith-Filled Confession

The Word of God lights my path today.I do not walk in the dark.I function by the wisdom of God in relating to those God has placed around me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
