"Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection..." (Hebrews 6:1)
There is a call to mature in ways that the Lord has not previously revealed and this call might be likened to a moving train. As you should know, God is interested in multitudes. But He only sponsors a select few to accomplish His plan (Refer to Matthew 22:14; Judge 7:4-7 and Mathew 5:1).
That said, what is His ultimate plan for you? How does God see you, and how does it differ from how you see you? Romans 8:29 NIV says, "For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters." In other words, God's plan for you from the onset was that you would live, operate, and interact with the world like Jesus did when He was on earth. I mean, in real-time, the world would not be able to tell you apart from the Lord, even though our mission is to bring them to Him.
Saints, God sees you as Jesus right this very minute. 1 John 4:17 says, "...as He is, so are we in this world." But most of the Church, universally, do not see themselves as God sees, and this is where the first dysfunction occurs. Paul highlights this mismatch in 1 Corinthians 13:12, which says, "For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known."
When you are a child, you see dimly. You ask for cars, houses, a spouse, deliverance, healing, and other particular needs. However, when you mature, you know yourself as you are known. Still, I show you a mystery: There is a transition from childhood to maturity, and in that transition period, the gap between where you are and who you were born to be starts to gnaw at you.
If God desires for you to be conformed to the Image of the Son of God, should that not be your most profound desire? What more could you want? Should you not study, pray, and begin to embody the revelation of the Son of God that you receive. Hear me: the moment the revelation of the Son of God comes into view, the pettiness and childishness will vanish.
1 Corinthians 13:12 says, "...then I shall know just as I also am known." There should be no higher need in your heart than to know as God knows you. For every moment that passes without you having this knowledge, there are losses occurring everywhere on this planet. Romans 8:19-20 says, "...the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God." People who should be healed and testifying to others can't testify because you are in the way. People who should be raised from the dead, die and are lost to hell because we didn't arrive at "Son of God" status because we failed to mind the gap between how God sees us and how we see ourselves.
Hear me, you have been prophesied and God's word never returns to Him void, according to Isaiah 55:11. The Prophet Obadiah was referring to you by the Holy Spirit when he said, "Then saviors shall come to Mount Zion To judge the mountains of Esau, And the kingdom shall be the LORD's."
This is a call to mind the gap in prayer and study. Ask the Father to show you what "Son of God" status looks like in your particular context of His design.
Have a glorious day!
Faith-Filled Confession
Holy Spirit! I ask for help with my spiritual sight. Help me to see me as you see me. Help me to see the potential inherent in me and grow into that potential in the name of Jesus. I stake this life that I have from you on this heavenly vision of "the Son of God" that I can become. Hallelujah!
Prayer Points
PRAY FOR THE LEADERS OF NATIONS
1 Timothy 2: 1-3 says, "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth".
Proverbs 29:2 says, "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn."
Pray against fear, violence, wickedness, and all forms of injustice, declaring peace, progress, stability, and prosperity for the furtherance of God's kingdom.
Pray that all malicious and antichrist policies and laws crafted to hinder the gospel are voided and that the name of the Lord is glorified.
Pray for the well-being of everyone in authority. Also, pray for the safety of their family.
Pray that they would be instruments in the hand of the Lord to fulfill His plans and purposes. And that God's mercy will be extended to them, causing them to function in wisdom and the fear of God.
Pray for peace in your nation and that the voices and influence of those who take positions against the Lord and His gospel will be diminished, that the Word of the Lord may be glorified. Amen. God bless you.
Pray for the unhindered spread of the gospel and that the Word of God will have free course and be glorified.
