SHY AWAY FROM THE WISDOM OF THE WORLD

01/18/2023

"The burden against Moab. Because in the night Ar of Moab is laid waste And destroyed, Because in the night Kir of Moab is laid waste And destroyed," (Isaiah 15:1)

Many parts of the Bible were written for our learning. Romans 15:4 tells us that "...whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope." That said, "Moab" in today's theme scripture is a prophetic representation of worldly wisdom.

Paul describes it as the wisdom of the world or the wisdom of the princes of this world that come to nought  (in 1 Corinthians 2:6). James gives us further insight into this wisdom by describing its qualities as earthly, sensual and devilish (see James 3:15).

Many of the world's experts operate by this wisdom and in 2023, "Moab" will fail woefully. And those who pride themselves in being experts will be brought to tears and anguish. Isaiah 15:4 allegorically states "Heshbon and Elealeh will cry out, Their voice shall be heard as far as Jahaz; Therefore the armed soldiers of Moab will cry out; His life will be burdensome to him." Hesbon refers to human reasoning or analysis. And Elealeh refers to the kings of earths. The ones that God caused to rise by their natural abilities. Daniel 2:21 says, "And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding."

In 2023, the ones that are experts or follow natural intelligence will cry to Jahaz. What does this mean? Jahaz means insanity or self-loathing. The prophetic warning here is that you will have to depend on the Holy Ghost for strategy throughout this year and refrain from taking hot tips from the so-called "experts". "For when they [the experts and the kings of the earth] say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape." (1 Thessalonians 5:3).

For you, this will be your opportunity to become an object of wonder. If you pay attention to the Holy Spirit, many will see your results and say, "How did she know or how did he know?" Saints, you cannot copy the world's way but you must follow the Spirit's way for He says, "Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left." (Isaiah 30:21). Even when the road seems lonely and everyone else is going another way, follow the voice of the Spirit.

Like the Psalmist says, "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me." (Psalm 23:4). Someone says, "But I don't hear God speak to me yet" and "How will I know when God is leading me?" Refuse to be allergic to your Bible this year for out of it, the God of Wonder will speak to you.

Let them that have ears hear the Spirit today.

God bless you.

Faith-Filled Confession

I refrain from echoing  or following the wisdom of this world that comes to nought. I am guided by the Word of God and the Spirit of God this year such that my only outcome is to become a wonder to many. This is my season to be made a wonder and I embrace it with all my heart in the name of Jesus. Amen

ONE YEAR READING PLAN: Genesis 42-43; Matthew 13:33-58

Day 17 of 21 Days of Fasting and Prayer

Campus pastors and Life group Leaders

Pray that they fulfill their God given assignments, remain fervent and passionate about their work and calling, richly supplied with all they require; focused, fearless, bold and inspired for ever increasing impact of the gospel.

Declare every opposition against them ineffective; that through their work, the kingdom of God expands exceedingly, and established in the hearts of men, that the name of our Blessed Lord be glorified. Amen.

1 Thess 2:12 That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you

unto his kingdom and glory (KJV).

Pray for every pastors called along side our man of God that they will continue to walk worthy of their calling in Christ Jesus and that none of their efforts will bring reproach to them in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Deut 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him (KJV).

Declare that the word of God will continue to influence their choices in life,

regulate their actions and cause them to be bold and uncompromising at all times and in any situation.

Isa 55:5 You also will command the nations, and they will come running

to obey, not because of your own power or virtue, but because I, the Lord your God, have glorified you (TLB).

Pray that as a result of the power of the word of God in their lives, campus pastor and opportunity zone leaders have become exceptional in all they do and are world changers having received the keys to extraordinary wealth and resources through the word of God working in and through them.
