SCAN YOUR SPIRIT DURING AND AFTER PRAYER

5/3/2025

"So will the words that come out of my mouth not come back empty-handed. They'll do the work I sent them to do, they'll complete the assignment I gave them" Isaiah 55:11 (MSG).

When you realize that God does nothing outside His Word, you will begin to enjoy an unending stream of miracles. The day God opened my spirit to this truth, I screamed! And now, He has sent me to unveil this same truth to others. Saints, God's Word is divinity unveiled; His Word is His totality. If you receive God's Word with your spirit, it will produce in you and for you whatever it talks about.

As Christians, we must be mindful of the operation of the Spirit and the role of the Word, especially when it comes to the subject of prayer. Otherwise, we will find ourselves going round in circles wishing God would do something about the challenges that we face. When you pray for something tangible, such as a house, God responds with a word, a word for your spirit, not a house. Because the only thing that can be transported from the spirit realm to the material world is words. In the Word that He gives lies the house. And this is why you should scan your spirit for the "thus says the Lord" when you pray.

In Luke 5:4-7, we find a classic example of what is possible when you receive God's Word with your spirit even when it makes no logical sense. The Bible says, "Now when He (Jesus) had left speaking, He said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto Him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy Word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink".

Jesus' response to Simon Peter's frustration of toiling all night was not to give him fish. Instead of fish, the Lord gave Simon His Word, which contained a net-breaking amount of fish. Like many Christians today, Simon's initial reaction was hesitation. But thank God, he moved past the realm of logic and retrieved His miracle from the Word. And I'll tell you this, if the Word could produce such a harvest for Peter, it will do the same for you no matter your circumstance.

So when you pray, scan your spirit for the Word. The change you desire will not come from anywhere else but from God's Word. Psalm 107:19-20 says, "Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble; He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His Word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions." In other words, it was the Word He sent that saved them out of their distresses, and healed, and delivered them from their destruction. In that Word was the power to save, heal and deliver. All they did was to receive the Word.

You may have heard a word from God regarding an issue, and based on what He said to you, you knew that you had the victory. So you rejoiced and shared your excitement with others. Here's the truth: You did receive your miracle from God, regardless of whether or not there was physical evidence to support it. The very Word that you got is your VICTORY.

Praise God!
