"So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” (Acts 9:6) How you respond to God is very important. What do I mean by this? I mean you must seek to understand God’s agenda, per time whenever He tells or shows you anything. Otherwise, you could experience unnecessary delays or even perish if you don't know how to convert the revelation of God into actionable information. While it is understandable that God primarily speaks through the scriptures, it is not His only means of communication. He may choose to speak via your inward witness, dream or vision. Numbers 12:6 says, "Then He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream." You may say but I am not a prophet and in this regard, you would be absolutely incorrect. The Lord declares that "And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams." Prophets are those who see and speak by the Spirit of God, so don't wait for a title. At some level, over your family, city or country, you are a prophet. Your job then is to gain clarity about the communication of the Spirit such that it is actionable. Maybe God tells you to pray for a Darla in Huber Heights or an Aminu in Abuja, your job is not to jet off praying, inquire about the specifics. Recognize that God is even watching and waiting to see if you will inquire for more accuracy. God may communicate however He chooses but you have a duty to download it into action steps except if the Lord tells you to do nothing, which He may if His revelations are merely for your information. In the Bible, remember that God called Samuel three times but Samuel thought it was his mentor, Eli who called. God called Samuel with the voice of Eli and If Eli had not helped Samuel respond properly, God might have called a few more times and then kept mute. Maybe you have received a dream, vision, prophecy or impression and do not know what it means. Saint, it is your job to find out what it means and what the Lord requires that you do with it. Ask the Holy Spirit to explain to you and He will. "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come" (John 16:13). God bless you! Faith Filled Confession I am wise with the wisdom of God. I know to ask the Holy Spirit every time a matter is unravelled to me that requires deeper clarification. My spiritual eyes and ears are opened to function with the skill to interpret dreams, explain riddles and solve difficult problems as might be prompted in my spirit by God's Spirit. Hallelujah!
