REJECT BLASPHEMY

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." (Proverbs 9:10)

Wisdom, in the Bible, is acting on the word of God. It is doing the instructions of God irrespective of the channel by which the instructions have come. Jesus said, "Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts on them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock..." (Matthew 7:24). In essence, wisdom is not knowing deep things of God or being able to conceptualize nice-sounding cliches. The wise man or woman is the one who does what God says. This means that wisdom according to God is the skillful art of doing His sayings. 

But to do what God says all the time, you must find Him awe-striking. Simply put, you must fear God and hold Him in the highest esteem. You must come to terms with the idea that God is supreme and nothing comes close. However, the awe that you must have for God is what the enemy has sought to remove from your life through a tool called blasphemy. 

The church has not paid adequate attention to blasphemy and in fact has tolerated it so much that fear of the LORD that ought to be the foundation of our doing the word of God has been missing from many in the Church. Blasphemy, the devaluing of holy things through words, has been a weapon of the enemy to diminish the fear of the LORD on earth within and outside the church. Revelations 13:5 Amplified says, "And the beast was given a mouth (the power of speech), uttering great things and arrogant and blasphemous words, and he was given freedom and authority to act and to do as he pleased for forty-two months (three and a half years)"

Most of Hollywood has been a project to blaspheme the name of our God and encourage people to participate in its blasphemy. If you've ever wondered why so many take the name of our God in vain in daily conversation, it's not because they can't be profane with any other word, but it is a weapon targeted at the church to lose faith in the Name of Jesus. This is why you must never tolerate the name of our Lord being taken in vain. If you have no reverence for God, you will never take His word seriously and thus, never have the word produce results for you. 

Saint, it is time to wise up and stop the enemy in his tracks. If the Muslims and Jews do not tolerate blasphemy, why should it then be us, who have received a Name by whom all things consist, who are lax about blasphemy? The Bible is replete with scriptures about the wonderful Name of Jesus and until you get a revelation of the Name of Jesus, the fear of the LORD will elude you. 

If God only shares His secret with those that fear Him according to Psalm 25:14, then seeking to know Him in truth, through His Name should take precedence.

Faith-Filled Confession

The Name of Jesus is the all-conquering name in this universe. Nothing and no one can defy the name of Jesus in my mouth. Because I fear the LORD, none shall be able to blaspheme the LORD around me without a verbal rebuttal in defense of the Name of my LORD. Hallelujah
